Finding news of such a setup incredible. Then I only have to think how some public restrooms look like an aftermath of someone's party and all makes sense.
When I was at Longos today, I was talking to cashier about how truckers are finding amenities scarce when on the road. Cashier told me that some customers have asked if the store washrooms are unlocked. That is the current reality. BTW, the Longos washrooms are spacious and usually in very decent condition.
Thought it crucial to get a few things today (no Lysol wipes and though I did not need bathroom tissue, not one package on shelves)as I won't be lugging groceries tomorrow. Plan is to get garden turned over and planted between tomorrow and Saturday with some time set aside for other activities. Then the Sunday/Monday rains (forecasted) can water the seeds and help them get rooted!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.

Brother got me a USB 2.0 ethernet adapter. It worked last night. Not this morning (errors...) Happily, UPS delivered my USB 3.0 ethernet adapter this afternoon *surprise* and while the upload speed is still around 10Mbps like the wireless connection, my download speed can be as high as 90Mbps in test but runs around 30Mbps or more. So, it's smoking fast! Bonus that adapter was $20 off regular price (deal ends tonight-look for tp link USB 3.0 ethernet for $14.99 on Staples.ca).
@Granger , you used the term grieving and I feel that applies to learning about the extended closures of public libraries and facilities (Hamilton to May 25 and Burlington to end of June)--how will those without Internet access cope? I had a sense maybe one more week of closures but another month plus (doubly glad I made the choice to snag a laptop)? Mind boggles over the time. Also, the chase for grocery and household staples in stores that may not have them-we are certain to be doing some kind of Easter rationing for baking needs and special dishes. Though I am glad the social distancing is real with most of my extended kin--not missing them much except for a couple of good ones! Yes, I'm even feeling a little down on the ever decreasing size of flyers and now the cessation of some grocery flyers in print. Sniff, sniff.
Upside of this evolving new normal-happy to have weekend/cheap hydro rates for awhile. Makes laundry easier to do at different hours so I'm not competing with family members for washing machine time.2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
