Ok so I donated extra things to the local Humane Society. They are in need of these special beds Kuranda beds for dogs with health problems and special needs. Now from the company these beds are about $150 each and I found 2 on Kijiji for $75 each so about $150 (for 2). Ive gotten a few family members and friends to donate and myself got enough money for 1 bed. But they are in need of several of these beds and this would benefit greatly for the animals. If I could I would pay for them out of my pocket but I simple cant afford it right now. The Humane Society is trying to get donation for them as they are a small shelter here (they dont get any sort of funding and simple go off donations to run it, and pull money out of their own pocket to pay for the animals nad supplies). I was wondering if anyone was wanting to donate or even suggest ideas to get donations. I am willing to drive the hour to pick them up from the lady selling them so the Humane Society doesnt have to do that themselves and use their own gas (many volunteers will do this).

big hugs to you ING!!
I've seen this happen before too, and I did the same thing as you. It is very hard and not a very pretty moment to experience either. Bless your heart for having the courtesy to not just go back, but to pick up his body and lay it on the side of the road.

I made a notation about the 50 point hunt words back on page 1304.
I don't think any of us are having any luck claiming the 50 point hunt words.
We're at the mercy of P&P as they'll fix it when they wish to do so. I thought it would be sometime today yet I was wrong
So, we'll just wait until someone posts that they are able to claim the wordsLast edited by Noodge; Wed, Feb 8th, 2012 at 08:03 PM.

This contest keyword you should be able to claim now.
You can try copying from contest page:
http://www.sheknows.com/entertainmen...lake-of-dreams
PointsandPrizes.com Keyword:LAKEOFDREAMS worth 100 points good through 3/8/12.
It didn't work immediately when posted yet P&P did fix it soon after. Too bad they didn't get around to fixing the long list of 50 point hunt words.....

Thank you for sharing words cesme77, manzervite, and NewfieGirl69.
Sounds like you are feeling better, Ricki911. That's good news. Good luck with the online course and raising donations for the animal shelter.
Very puzzling, Pearls. I know it's a hassle as your time is worth $ yet did you call UPS to inquire why you didn't receive notification of duty prior to delivery or with delivery? I doubt P&P would be any help. Sorry to hear your niece got whammied too.
I needed the colorful comic to stimulate my brain and keep me up, thanx julyprincess. Guess it'll be an early night for me.
So true, ThreeMonster'sMom and so sad that us women are our own worst enemies when it comes to body image.
Well, hope everyone had a Wonderful Wednesday as we move along towards a terrific Thursday?

Hope everyone enjoyed their day.
Thanks so much for the words (I`m a bit behind - that`s what I get for hanging around hospitals ).
Had 5hrs of testing today at the hospital (part of the annual tune up) & except for the angio, I think the major tests are done til next year (here`s hoping). Ricki, sorry, I think I`ve spent your share of OHIP already. You`ll have to come into the city to get it back from me.
My folks came down to babysit today, so the critters are now sulking (a certain young lady resented me for not getting to go for a car ride). Good thing I gave everyone half portions for brekkie, they got 2 meals before I got back home. Needless to say they convinced my parents I forgot to feed them.
Take care, everybody.
