Update:
http://www.everything-about-dachshun...nk-update.html
I can see that in a dachshund...our Jenny is the most affectionate pup we've ever had...and if there were to be another pup in our lives (which is highly doubtful), I'd pick a doxie again....they're so caring and nurturing....
Anyway...hope you enjoy this...!This thread is currently associated with: N/A

What a sweet story! A life saved by a doxxie! He'll think he's a dog when it comes time to mate, probably since he "imprinted" on a dog. The whole story is very heart-warming. What dedication to help this little being along! Thanks for posting, Lynn!

My husband just smirks and guffaws anytime I squeal with delight when I see a cute little baby piggy on tv, and when make a comment that I'd love to at least hold one. Because he grew up on a 'farm', he just doesn't see them as cute at all.... gah, so jaded!

Sigh...yes, Natalka, I can understand what you mean about guys not understanding our love of any critters at all. Do you remember the Telus commercial with the piggy? SO cute!
They have a way with using critters in their commercials that make them so endearing.
Along with a piggy, I also want a meercat. What do you think my chances are?

I loved the spotted piggy Telus used - in fact, on our boxes which hold our Christmas stuff, I taped on his little pics that came out that year.

Lynn, a meerkat might be harder to wrangle! Hmmm.... go on holiday to South Africa, bring a big suitcase to smuggle meerkat back in.... it's probably doable!

The Detroit Zoo has a special meerkat display. A couple of summers ago we went to the zoo with my nephew and they had meerkat stuffed animals on sale - really cute!

Honey, I'd jump at the chance! I petted one once in the PetSmart here a few weeks ago...omg, those cute faces! I could have squeezed it all day!
Unfortunately, hubby only tolerates our Jenny (don't get me wrong, he plays with her, and is the walker and pooper-picker-upper), but one critter is quite enough for him. Left to my own devices, I'd be the crazy dog lady!...or...Critter lady!
