So kind of a change in plans today. After I posted earlier I was going to do some prep and some work stuff.

But, Plan B. A couple of weeks ago I was tidying up in the Dining Room and filled a bin with all of these random food items that were living in our Dining Room. Our Dining Room is where everything that does not have a home lands. Mom asked what was in the bin and I told her so much randomness. We decided to sort through the bin which lead to starting a deep clean/organizing of one of our pantries.

We have two pull-out pantries in our Kitchen and I have been thinking we really need to go through them and tweak them a little bit. Like most things, the way we have it set up served a purpose at the time but now it needs a revamp. Each one has 5 shelves, so far we have done 3 shelves in one of the pull-outs. We had to stop so we could prep everything for Dinner since the pizza dough was almost ready. We will tackle the last 2 shelves tomorrow and depending on how that goes tackle the other pull-out, will have to see how Mom feels.

Feels good to work on it, we already have so much extra space that we will be able to use.

@cath007 I got rid of my HP printer as I was going through ink as it was drying out prematurely. I switched to a Canon printer, and very happy. Even if the ink is low, the Canon will still print, whereas the HP would stop. I buy my ink at Shoppers on Thursday's during seniors' day and get 20% off. The ones that Shoppers carries are XL so they last longer. Also make sure you turn off your printer! If you leave it on, the cartridges will dry out super fast. Sometimes a power surge will turn your printer on unexpectedly, and I keep mine on a power bar that I shut off to prevent that from happening.

I don't recommend buying a laptop at Shoppers. They carry older stock and don't accept returns. I bought an Acer with my Optimum points and it runs slower than the 10 year old laptop I was replacing!

Oh I hate the verification for websites! I have remember/don't ask me again checked off, and each time I log in, I have to enter a new code. Its' so frustrating. Or when a website says the saved password is incorrect - Canadian Tire is really bad for that. I can never access the CTire Triangle app in-store, there is always a "we are having an issue" message, but magically it always works at home. I also can't check my PC offers in store because Fortino's has terrible wifi reception.

I don't have data on my cellphone, so I have to rely on a store's WIFI, even Cogeco with the so-called hotspots are extremely unreliable.
I wish companies would realize that not everyone has data, and improve the WIFI reception.

Headed over to SDM tonight. It was the last day of the spend $50 get 20x plus 5000 for using PC MC.

Spent $53 and change and got 15,900 points plus the 5000 will be added at a later date.

    20,900 isn’t bad for spending $53.

    Good Morning,
Last night I was tempted to set my alarm so I could get up early and try to get all of the things done, I feel like my to-do list for today is a little overwhelming. But, I decided not to because I have been so tired lately that I thought if I do get a good night's sleep do I want to interrupt that? I woke up at 20 to 5 with the intention of getting up but my body had other ideas, I did not even realize I fell back asleep I thought it was just after 5, nope it was 20 to 7.

I am happy to get the sleep and am starting to feel better but now I have to admit, I am feeling kind of blah today. I need to get up and get things done but my whole body is saying "we could have a computer day, we have a lot to get done on the computer." Which I do, I have some editing to do, and I have a bunch of work stuff I need to get done, but I also need to get prep and cleaning done.

I am blaming this whole situation on the fact I thought this weekend was the long weekend and only realized on Monday when I looked it up that the long weekend is next weekend. In my mind, I should have an extra day to get all of the things done.

I did write a meal plan last night that I am super excited about, lots of good options, even found some quick options if we need those. Plus it will use up some of the "stuff" I found in the dining room well cleaning up all the random packages living on the dining room table and some of the random bits out of the freezer.

    Happy Sunday Everyone.

@SassyAshley sleep is so important so glad that you took a bit more.

Not much going on currently. Plan is to hit the gym at 6:30 am which is in 2 minutes. Get a good workout done, eat , shower then at 11 we head out to a financial lunch meeting.

    lizzie -happy anniversary.

Well had the kids and grandkids here yesterday -it does get hectic with 3 under age 9.Then today just sebastian ,my daughter went for a 2 hour hike with her cousin .Sebastian just wasnt listening to me ,climbing all over the back of my newer couch .Of course my daughter says mom "one day they will be big".I just would like to keep my furniture lasting a bit longer.

So daughter just left now at 4.00 p.m as she needed to do a bit work on her laptop .So nana is a bit tired ,but i got a half loaf left for me of sour dough bread .

Supper is just an egg, sourdough bread and a salad too tired.

I didn't even know that was possible. Like have too much money or too many holidays.

Found my ambition and got things done.

The dishes are done, there were quite a few from our pantry clean-out yesterday that did not get done. Plus as I worked in the Kitchen I did dishes so they would not pile up again.

Emptied the Dishwasher but washed all the dishes so it was not until after dinner that any dishes went in the Dishwasher.

Finished cleaning/organizing pantry #1, pantry #2 will have to wait for next weekend. Before we got started part of me thought maybe push through and get it done today but we got a later start on the pantry than planned.

I took out the kitchen garbage as well as a bag we were using for the pantry. I still have one bag that I used today, the one from yesterday was getting heavy so I took it out.

I did all our produce prep, romaine, carrots, green onions, celery, broccoli and cantaloupe has been cut up for the week. The pineapple I got is not quite ready to be cut up.

Well, I was making dinner, I put the apples I bought away and cleaned out the Onion Drawer and brought up some of the onions from the basement.

Feels good to check multiple things off the to-do list but oddly I always find this bittersweet. I am happy to get it done but once I start seeing things get done, I want to get more done. I am telling myself to be happy, you had a good day, you got a lot done, do not start thinking of the other things that still need to be done.

Dinner was French Onion Pasta bake as we had a few onions that needed to be used up and this recipe calls for 4 to 5 onions. Plus it used up some mushrooms we needed to use.

I think we are in a good place for the week. I do have a few more things I want/need to get done, I did not get my salad dressings made and I am thinking I might make a soup and a batch of rice to have in the fridge to help with dinners this week.

I did not get as much computer work done as I had hoped today. I did get some work stuff done and a little bit of editing done but still have so much more I need to get done. But, I think if I stay focused tomorrow I can get back on track.

    Good Monday morning,

Only real plan is to go to Costco. We are down to our last roll of TP . It's been a busy few weeks and I just forgot until I went to the storage and saw it was empty. Oh well, we have enough for this morning at least .

Apparently there’s a wind warning this afternoon into this evening with warnings of possible outages so we’ll make sure the phone and iPads are fully charged.

We’re going to do our weekly fiscal meeting and pay the CC before we hit up Costco.

    Have a great day everyone

I was suppose to go to Costco on Saturday and again didn't make it!!!! But for good reason

My car is getting fixed today (finally!!! had an ongoing problem and finally made the appointment to bring it in) So happy that will be done and can pick up this afternoon So will plan to go to the Costco near my mom one night later this week and take her to the casino near her for dinner. I haven't been able to visit for a long time because of the weather! It was always terrible the day I planned to go.
