    Good Morning Everyone,
Yesterday I had to take my laptop in to be looked at as I could not connect to work and the internet at the same time. Good news, it took our IT guy like 60 seconds to fix it. But since I was there I did my rounds, fixed some of the issues, and dealt with all the things.

I grocery-shopped my way home as this week was one of those weeks where it felt like I needed to go to all the stores to get the deals. Some things I could have tried to price match but I wasn't in the mood. It just seemed easier to go to all of the stores. Yesterday I went to RCSS, Wal-Mart & Food Basics.

    At RCSS I got:
    6 x Tuna $1
    4 x Beef Broth $1.49
    1 x Mini Cucumbers 50-count $5
    1 x Bun 6-pack $3.79 - 30% = $2.65
    1 x Oregano Oil $10.99

Loved the Tuna at $1, been a while since I have seen that price and it is something easy Mom can make herself. Looking at the Buns it does look like RCSS has to best prices for buns. I feel like buns have gotten so expensive and my No Frills only carries the Ace Brand which are good but I find them pricy.

Also found it interesting that Nature's Bounty Oregano Oil was cheaper than the Life Brand. Really wish Costco would carry this but they only have the oil that you drop in your mouth and I just cannot, I need the pill form.

    Wal-Mart I got:
    4 x Soya Sauce $2.27
    2 x Peppers 3-count $1.84
    2 x Green Onions $0.77

Lately. on sale the VH Soya Sauce which is our preferred brand has been $3.00 so happy to see $2.27. Happy to see the peppers as I have started if I have a meal that has no veggies (i.e., a Sandwich for lunch) I will pair it with some Cucumber Slices and Pepper Slices.

    At Food Basics, I got:
    2 x Sugar $1.88
    2 x Gnocchi $1.99
    1 x Green Grapes $1.88/lb
    1 x Orange Juice $2.88
    2 x White Tortillas $1.88
    3 x Whole Wheat Tortillas $1.88
    1 x Peach Ice Cream $3.88

We used some of the Tortillas for Dinner last night and not sure how I feel about the Selection Tortillas they have a bit of a different texture, I think we prefer the No Name but we will keep using them and then decide. The Peach Ice Cream was a total splurge, I keep seeing it in the flyer and it has been calling my name. I did not get a chance to try it last night but maybe tonight after dinner.

Still need to go to No Frills and Sobeys, also considering a trip to Zehrs but that won't be this week.

    Happy Friday

TGIF! I have today off and I’m loving it!

It’s been a productive day so far. Done some light cleaning, did a stacked workout that finally included strength ( I’ve slacked in my weight training but I’m back baby!) an amazing 4.5km run, waked to IGA to grab some hemp hearts that were on sale until I can get my bulk order from Amazon.

Having loaded oatmeal for lunch then hopping in the shower and then down to tend to the garden. Hubby and I will do a ride after he gets home from work so that’s nice to look forward too.

Maybe I’ll check out the flyers and see if I can score some deals. We do need to do a Costco run for TP, flax, spinach and a few odds and sods.

    Have a great Friday everyone

    @cath007 sorry to hear.

Tried my steam mop that I bought for Facebook marketplace for $25. Only used once condition, and its' excellent. My kitchen floor is so clean, and just with hot water! Highly recommend. I'll definitely save on household cleanser.

Looking forward to all of the payments next month - climate incentive, grocery rebate, pst and gst. It will offset some of my dental nightmare.

Has anyone had any luck with Waterpik water flosser? Costco has it on sale, but the reviews are not good. Flossing is cheaper but apparently I need something better to avoid another dental crown cavity.

One dentist advised me to get a water floss tool. However, another, who teaches at the university, told me not to use water floss tools because they could drive particles even deeper into the gums.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Did not sleep well last night, I could not fall asleep and did not stay asleep, ugh.

I did make it to No Frills yesterday but did not feel like making the trip to Zhers, I was going to go to Sobey's but it was starting to rain and bringing groceries in, in the rain, no thanks. At No Frills, I got:
    2 x Early Grey Tea $5.99
    1 x Banana (bunch of 6)
    1 x Cherries $1.99/lb
    1 x Clemtines 2lbs $3.99
4 x Palmolive Dish Soap $1.94 WUB 2 or more
    1 x Ground Beef $3.44/lb (PM Zehrs) + 1000 pts (100 pts/$)
    1 x Eggs 18-pack $4.99 (PM Sobeys)
    2 x No Name Fries $2.49 + 800 pts (400 pts/bag)
    2 x German Salami $4.50 WUB 2 or More
    1 x Asiago & Artichoke Dip (large tub) $5.94 - 30% ($1.78) = $4.16
    4 x Astro Yogurt $2.22 (PM Sobeys) - $1 WUB 2 Coupon = $1.72 + 1600 pts (800 pts/$4)

I might still go to Sobey's for Salad Dressing, cannot price match as it is a Scene offer and I want to go to Zehrs for Lettuce. I could not Price Match the Romaine at No Frills as Zehrs says product of USA and No Frills was product of Canada, I guess I could have tried but just wasn't in the mood if they denied it. I have enough Lettuce for this week but will need Lettuce for next week.

The package of Ground Beef will be turned into Taco Meat for the Freezer. When did Sandwich Meat get so expensive, Mom wanted Salami for Snack Plates and to make Veggie Sandwiches that was the best price I could find. Will have to check Costco. But we need more lunch options so I grabbed it.

Did not get a ton done around the house yesterday but I am taking the small victories right now. Fridge has been cleaned out, there was some food waste this week, both Mom and I have been feeling off so dinners last week so there was a lot of seperate dinners depending on how we were feeling that day. The fridge is cleaned out, garbage has been taken out and recycling as well. Always feel better when I get things out of the house.

As always there are so many things we need to get done but I am thinking today might just be the little things. Just somne general tidying up, I feel like there are things in random places all around the house. So today might just be a tidy up day and I will clean tomorrow.

    Happy Saturday

I was up early to take ds2 to work. So I went for groceries but not superstore. They have not had great produce and are being a pain about pming now so I went to food basics and thank goodness I checked my receipt. I was charged almost 3x the price for grapes. Then I hit up Freshco and Sobeys and that earned me 1400 scene points. Stopped for a coffee and now home do housework or read a book😂.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

I woke up this morning to rain and when I checked the weather it showed rain all day, but now it is sunny.

The kitchen is clean, the dishwasher needed to be emptied, there were not any dishes to go back in but a bunch of hand dishes to be done so those have been done. Scrubbed down all of the counters.

My kettle needed to be cleaned and whenever I clean the kettle I also clean the drains since I will have a boiling hot kettle of vinegar. The kettle and the drains have been cleaned.

I went down to tackle the basement, it still has not been put back together from moving everything for the Hot Water Tank install. I got the laundry room done, there was stuff on top of the washer and dryer and I know I will need to do laundry this week so that needed to be taken care of. Once the Washer & Dryer were cleaned off I put in a load of random darks that are in the basement to be washed and sorted, I will hang them all to dry and once dry I will sort them.

There is more to be done but think it is time for a break and have some lunch. I am super focused on taking better care of myself and right now I am focusing on eating because I have started skipping meals again. I find I am worst on weekends, I do not know if it is because I am out of my routine but I almost always skip one meal each day of the weekend.

I also need to write a meal plan for the week, hoping this little bug that seemed to be in our house is gone and we can get back on track.
