Much cooler today by like 10+ degrees. I’m freezing in comparison .

    Have a great day everyone.
@harbie I order my zero water filters from London drugs. Even thought I am in Ontario, I find their prices are good.

@walkonby I actually hate the ride down too . It’s too steep and I’m not comfortable with the speeds I get unlike Dh . I guess I’m just more afraid to fall, break something or die
@barbis9 I love LD but it was cheaper at WM this time. Even Amazon was more expensive too.
oh oh I loved to old school day timers . Every year I buy the big coiled year planners from Homesense and pre load and map out everything from work to anniversaries, vacations all of it. It makes me more organized and I love it.

Zero water filters cost a small fortune. Do you have printed coupons to use towards the next purchase? My brother got some and everytime he or Mom needs to get a 2pk of filters, a coupon goes with them.

There seems to be a deal on multi-buys on the website:https://www.zerofilteronline.com/col...ter-collection

All this talk of ice cream--made me realize that our freezer has none during this current heat wave.

I've been sneaking some of Bro's chips and popcorn (he seems to do nightly snack runs!) as the stuff comes into the house. Though I did pop two bowls of popcorn on Sunday and melted butter to treat myself when I was alone for a few hours.

Anyone with a July 18 expiry date on the Kraft Parmesan cheese coupon-use it or toss it today! I did a coupon toss out on Sunday when I realized I had some July coupons and even a couple of June ones still in my organizer.

Tech expert Amber Mac will be part of a 90s themed series on Disney+ starting on Aug. 30. It may be worthwhile to sign up for a month to see it and a few other goodies (the Gallery for The Mandalorian Season 3!!) then.

Yesterday, I used the last of the unscented laundry detergent for a family member's laundry load and the baby Ivory detergent on my laundry loads. The latter smells like baby shampoo had a fight with baby powder. Fortunately, the time the laundry spent in the sunshine and wind yesterday dialled down the scent somewhat and I ironed my sheets. So worth that effort! The goal is to run down the baby Ivory so someone will have to get a jug of the regular detergent this week (there's plenty of Woolite but it's relatively expensive to the daily laundry detergent).

Air Miles Mastercard holders who shop at Dollarama-I posted a news link in Finance about an upcoming AM offer to cardholders starting next month and running for three months!

Saw on the news last night that it is National Drowning Prevention Week. Some statistic that of the 300+ drownings (last year? over a decade?) that about 267 of them did not have PFDs or life jackets on. Apparently in Toronto, the police are warning people in the water that any watercraft, including SUPs, users must have PFDs or life jackets on or face tickets.

    Good Day!

BBqing chicken and veggies for dinner. Will make up a containers for my lunch tomorrow with the leftovers.
This morning I cleaned the kitchen and cooked up taco meat. Chopped up lettuce/cheese etc so it was ready for easy tacos.
I took the chicken out this morning and chopped up all the veggies so that made the plan for dinner. (even though I could have been talked into a drive if I didn't have the dinner already prepped)

Yesterday at RCSS they had a freezer full of clearance items. I bought pizzas. They had juice but we wouldn't use it. But then I was thinking last night it would be perfect for the Give group I am part of. (I am going to pick up a bunch of back to school snack/food items for a mom in need) The juice would probably be helpful. (it was on for .48 and was thinking of buying 20 so that would go a long way) Today everything was marked right up. I will keep my eye on the stuff I am sure it will be marked back down again. (the one pizza I bought yesterday for $1.94 was $6.74 now on clearance)

@Ciel21 as someone that spends a lot of time on the water I am always amazed at the number of people that don’t have a PDF on their body or even their board. I am a strong swimmer and never go without and it’s always on me, my son tried to get away with it on his board, to which I said no way.
The mortgage was approved today. The rate is crazy but since this is short term I am not too sad. I helped the older son sort out his flight home, he was to see his grandparents and his dog and we were able to get him round trip for under 500.00. I offered to pay half as he was going to drive back with us but that was only going to give him 3 days in Ontario and this way he gets 7 days home.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

    Good Morning and Happy Wednesday!

I really debated taking today off work too but I am slugging away. Pretty quiet day after being off 2 work days but then I guess lots of people are off this week so that is great for me! Will look at daytimer and and plan more time off in Sept.

August is a busy month for us. 3 day festival in Barrie (Kempenfest) We have tickets for Friday and Saturday night. Plus a free concert Saturday afternoon we are attending. Spending the weekend at my sister's (hot tub and pool!) So should be a great time.
Have a few days off mid August for a little road trip.
Then we are going camping end of August at the Grotto. Excited to see my sister and niece enjoy the experience.

Next 2 weeks will be work, get some house stuff done and enjoy the weather locally.

@Angela273 Thanks for sharing the coupon offer! I recall seeing the product in a grocery flyer earlier in July and wondered if there were more than two cake flavours offered. I like the size option because I like snacks and Mom sometimes wants just a bit of cake at night (I don't know how she has the restraint; I eat carbs in abundance).

Finally got some emails forwarded to my account after I figured out which USB charging cable still works on sibling's old phone. He refused to print the main email out for Mom so I am doing the work. I have asked my friend if she could return the phone I had given her from last year (she's not using it) so I can connect one e-mail address to it and show Mom how to take photos with it. Then I can use a nearby wi-fi spot to check for e-mails without having to walk to the library often in the heat!

Had a very good skim reading of magazines at the library and ditto with two big hardcover books I took out but was not going to carry home. So many summer recipes and treats in Good Housekeeping, Style at Home and Canadian House & Home (the latter two's July/August issues have recipes from same cookbook-two same ones in both issues then about three different ones in each one to prep at home then finish off at a campsite!). I intend to get that roasted red cabbage recipe copied to tempt Mom in trying a different way to use cabbage (I usually don't eat her cabbage dishes...not to my liking).

Last night, I had a footlong dog that was left over from Bro's supper-nice surprise. Also made buttered popcorn.

Another scorcher here. It hit 33/34 and that’s not with humidity. I really can’t complain since all of BC is burning and or suffering from smoke we’re just hot and luckily no smoke at all.

It was a rough day at work with the heat and I’m not really wanting to make dinner but I refuse to spend $$$ unnecessarily so pancakes for dinner it is. Blueberry pancakes to be exact.

Another hot day is in stor for tomorrow so work will be fun again .

Have a great night and stay cool everybody
