Boys came home for lunch and made Eggs/peameal/cheese on a bun. Glad I cooked up the peameal this morning.

Last load of laundry is ready for the dryer. Happy to have that all almost complete. Hopefully the load I hung to dry is ready to put away tomorrow afternoon.

    Good for you.

But don't deny yourself a treat. Choose your favourite fruit and indulge.

Found 3x new sets of horizontal blinds sitting next to a donation bin for clothing. So, I'll replace a few of my old broken ones.

Good Morning! This work week is flying by!

It was a rainy afternoon here yesterday and needed out of the house. Decided on a free dinner at the casino and use free slot play offer.
Let's just say it was worth the drive!! And the food was good! They make a very unique Ceaser salad that We absolutely love it. Service is not great. Every time you have to wait for them to bring the bill because they stand in a group and chat. Not over tipping for that sorry.

Today- get work done. Clean the kitchen. Go to FB and grab a few things. Go to the bank for a deposit. Top up the gas tank.
Fold the laundry in the dryer and put it away. Put away the laundry that was hung to dry yesterday.
Meet my friend later at a cafe.

    Have a great day!

Our little peanut stole our hearts, he helped my son through a really difficult time and he had such a personality. He was so cuddly and kissable, had a bit of a teenage attitude and was hilarious. He will be greatly missed.

Such a sad day and still need to get things done - groceries, laundry, work....funny how life keeps rolling on. I hope everyone enjoys their day and remembers to embrace each day, smell the warmth and sunshine in the air and fully live in the moment.

Yup. Hard to sit for 2 hours. Can you plan the trip so that you make stops every half hour or every 45 minutes? Even to stretch your legs for five minutes helps. Those ONroute stops may be good

@GeorgiaK what was your sweet pet hamsters name? So sorry that he passed in the night. We never expect a tiny fur ball like that will grasp hold of our hearts, but they find a way. Your hamster sounded like a real entertainer! R.I.P.

My son named him Chucho. He was such a squishy and kissable ball of fur.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Oh my, I feel like I legit have no idea what is going on but at the same time I feel like things are getting back to normal.

As I mentioned I noticed a mark on my car, when I went out Saturday to fill up and drop off a return at the post office I saw it, someone hit my car, I think it happened when I was at Costco last week. To me the damage is minor but we will see what the cost to repair is. Originally I was going to wait and tell Dad when I saw him but I felt so guilty I asked him to call me on Monday and I told him. I know it is not my fault but doesn't change that I felt guilty, this is how my mind works, I kept thinking why did I go that day at that time.

I was out of town this week for work, one of my trainees was unable to come last week as one of his staff had a family member pass. So we decided this week I would go there instead this past week. I left Monday and got back last night.

On the way home I went to Costco because there were a few hidden sales I wanted to pick up, plus I found more well I was there, I got:
Feta (Love the Kirkland Feta and it was on sale)
Provolone Cheese Slices (I see some Chicken Parm in our future)
    Mustard
Foil Pans (They were on sale so I grabbed a pack even though we do not need them yet)
Chicken Wings (They were $5 off a pack, did not need them but for $5 off a pack, they can go in the freezer)
Milk & Whipping Cream (Costco has the best price on both of these and since I was there)
Maple Syrup (Realized I forgot this last time I went)
Pita Chips (They had the Stacey's ones again on sale, grabbed 2, I LOVE these, plus now I add them to my salads as croutons)
Kettle Cooked Chips (On sale and my weakness, I think I literally dreamed about them last night)
Portobello Mushrooms (Used to buy these all the time but since they went up in price, I haven't been buying but Bello Burgers just sounds good so I splurged)
Mini Cucumbers (On sale, grabbed 2 bags I need to get back in the habit of trying to eat my weight in cucumbers)

I came home put the groceries away and then ran to No Frills to grab our groceries for the week, we did not need a lot but living in Cottage Country I knew if I did not go they would be sold out, there were already a few things I grabbed that were low on stock. I got:
    Strawberries $1.46 (PM Food Basics)
    Cantaloupe $1.46 (PM Food Basics)
    Green Onions $0.99
    Pineapple $1.88
    Mushrooms $0.94
    Mangos $0.99
    2 x Tuna $0.99 (only had 2 left)
    1 x Vinegar $1.44
    2 x Sweet Baby Rays $1.97 (PM Wal-Mart)

Oh my gosh it was already so insane last night in town, twice people pulled U-Turns in front of me, a woman honked at me for not pulling out and cutting off a bicyclist. Honestly, the drive to and from my local grocery store 5 minutes away was more stressful than 3 hours drive home from the branch. I think it is good weekend to hibernate in my house and work on house stuff and let the cottagers and tourists take over.

Today is work day, I have a meeting soon but plan is on my breaks is to unpack and write a meal plan for the week. Trying to get back on track as this week should be somewhat "Normal."

    Happy Friday Everyone.

@sassy- I hear you about going shopping before the cottagers show up!

I went out last night around 7pm to top up the gas tank, go to the bank to make deposit, pop in No Frills across the road from the bank (CB cheese slices $3.99 each less coupon Save $3 WUB 2.) Bought 4 packages to keep DS stocked up for his sandwiches. Popped in SDM to see if I could find deal to spend $20 (had offer if I spent $20 on gas and $20 at SDM receive 10,000 PC pts (plus 100 pts per each spend) Treated myself to shampoo/condition (2 of each) used a $15 GC I won at Christmas in a family game and paid the rest with change. Also checked a Lotto Max ticket in my purse (it was from a ticket before that I won $20 and a free play) and it won $20. What a lucky streak that was! (Buy the odd ticket when the draws are high)

It was the perfect time to do errands!

Now we can enjoy the weekend at the beach etc (as long as the weather co-operates!)
