    Good Morning Everyone,
Trying to find my ambition but it is not going well. I woke up at 5:30 and my plan was to get up, get my day started, that did not happen. A storm was rolling through so I decided to lay in bed and try to stretch out the hips and listen to the storm, well I must have been comfortable because next thing I knew it was it was 7:45 and even then I did not want to get out of bed.

I should get some prep done for the week to come, I know for sure I am going to have one day in branch working with a staff member. There might be a second day as well, I had a meeting but I think it is being moved so we shall see how that affects my week.

I should also go to to Costco this week, there are a few things we need and they have Mom's collagene on sale so I should grab 2 more bottles.

Last night the plan was to make something to use up the Broccoli in the fridge and I found a pasta recipe but by dinner time I did not have it in me to follow a recipe so I made Mozzarella Chicken instead. I should use that broccoli tonight but since we had pasta last night I will have to figure out something else. Maybe just make Chicken of some sort, a side and broccoli, we will see.

    Happy Monday Everyone.

Well SA so far I have had a bath and gotten dressed!! My lofty goals for the day include lunch and Scrabble with my sister. I am pretty good at doing nothing-lol.

@lizzie bargain , I have been a little too good at doing nothing with my time but I am sure it is what my body needed. Honestly, I cannot believe I have been off for 5 days it does not feel like it but will be back at it tomorrow.

@harbie , working weekends sucks. I did not realize how much it affected me until we stopped doing it and now I hope we never look back.

Decided my focus for today would be dinner, I found a recipe for Lemon Herb Marinated Chicken which I have in the fridge marinating. I have recently become obsessed with marinating my meats in yogurt and this one is interesting as it is a cross between a yogurt and a traditional marinate. It has yogurt in it but also has olive oil and lemon juice so it is not as thick as most yogurt marinades. I did have to make some tweaks as it calls for fresh herbs which I don't have but dry will work.

On the side I am going to make a Greek Orzo Salad. The Orzo has been cooked and a little dressing added well it was still warm so it would absorb it, once completely cook I will add some veggies, feta and more dressing.

I made some blueberry muffins as I am a bit overrun with blueberries, my own fault I over bought but some of them were going bad quickly. I never have much luck when I buy produce at a certain store but I was there, they were on sale, they looked good, so I grabbed them, I should have waited and price matched them.

I need to find something to do with apples, I know it is more of fall dessert but thinking maybe an apple crisp, I did just buy some ice cream. I was going to make a berry crisp for something different but with all these apples I gotta do something, guess it is time to see what pinterest thinks.

Chicken was a success, Mom said 3 times how much she liked the flavour. It was good and I will be honest, I did not expect it to be as lemony as it was but we liked it, so we can add this to the rotation, just have to remember to marinate.

Orzo Salad was good but I should have made different batches for Mom and myself as I was trying to pick most of the cucumbers and all of the peppers out of hers. She wanted more pasta where is I wanted more veggies. I will probably add some more veggies and feta and take it for lunch this week, might add it to some lettuce to beef it up and stretch it out.

I ended up making Nanny's Special Apple Pie with the Apples (not my Nanny, My nanny did not bake unless Jell-O with this weird rubbery layer and cool whip counts), it is one of Mom's favourite things I make with Apples. It is like an upside down Apple Pie but the crust is like a shortbread but you add an egg. We still have some apples to use up so more baking to come. Maybe I can find something to drop off to Dad now that he is home.

Just remembered as I was typing this I forgot to make my Cucumber Cream Cheese Spread, opps. Oh well always tomorrow or next weekend. I do need to check the freezer and see if I have more bread as I am out upstairs, if not there is another thing I need to add to my Costco list.

I really need someone to put ground beef on sale, we are out of Taco Meat and running low on burgers. Maybe I will check Costco's price, I have only seen Sobey's put it on sale recently and it was $5 something/lb.

I also need to clean out our Stand-up Freezer again but honestly, I am putting that off. It is going to be a pain in the behind, we will see if maybe one weekend I have a ton of ambition. But also our basement has been super warm lately which has me worried, we have the dehumidifier running but it feels so humid down there, I saw online it says because it does not have ventilation which could be true because I have closed all the windows. I closed the front one because of the bees last year and the back one because something was eating the screen and last thing I need is rodent in my basement. At some point I need to clean out the basement but honestly, not high on the to-do list, so many other things need to be done first.

I was tempted to say I am going to try to tackle one thing each day this week but honestly. that never happens on days I am in branch. So do I lie to myself and say this week will be different or be realistic and say we will see what next week brings????

Went to sons and did a load of laundry for him -nice to come home from a vacation with no extra laundry already in the hamper.

We put the garbage out and watered all the plants outside.

We had an easy no spend day at home, I read 75% of a book, did some laundry and cleaned. Then my brother joined us for dinner, sister in law is away for a week so I said just come to use and save yourself cooking after a long day. My mom is staying with us so she does a lot of the meal prep for us, so it make meals a bit easier.

Found a pair of pruning shears on my walk. There is an overgrown path that I have been dying to clean up. I just never had the right tool (or any) on hand and did not want to haul some out for an all-day walk. The discovery gave me the perfect excuse to snip all the branches and saplings that had encroached upon the path.

    Good Morning!

The work week is starting off very quiet. I'm sure many people are on vacation this week.

Today does not look like a beach day. Since it is cooler and overcast it is probably a good evening to putter in the garage.

    Have a great day!

Dinner is planned. Took chicken out of the freezer. Prepped potatoes and onions. Will add a side salad.
    Kitchen is clean.

Breakfast made- Oatmeal with almond milk, fresh blueberries, walnuts and almonds. Yum! Haven't had this in a while and wow is it good.

I need to unpack my bag from the weekend and thinking I will do a load of laundry today and hang to dry to keep up on it.

RCSS- Watermelon for $2.99. It was really good. Bought a 2nd one yesterday but DS said buy more! Don't want to go overboard but that is a great price as long as we don't get tired of it!

    Good Morning Everyone,
Getting back into the swing of things but it shocking how a couple of days off can throw off your routine. Normally I stick to my routine when I am off but I have been struggling with sleep for almost a week and apparently still am. I did not sleep well last night which meant, I did not want to get up this morning but since I did not log in over the weekend to clean up my emails, they were calling me.

I have a to-do list written out and now it is time to start crossing things off.

I did take a break and took a quick shower as my brain was feeling a little full and sometimes shifting my focus is exactly what I need to refocus.

My week is already being flipped upside down my schedule has changed 3 times this morning.

Thinking I might pull a pork tenderloin out for dinner, will make with Potatoes and some sort of veggie on the side.

    Happy Tuesday Everyone.

Found an unopened carton of dry Pho noodles on a picnic table. Good for a midnight snack.
