Morning! I see blue skies and sunshine!

Put a load in the washer this morning. Will hang it up to dry. Then will do a load of towels and dry and fold and put away.
Having my coffee and then will wash up the dishes from last night.
Leftovers for dinner. (chicken/potatoes) Thinking I will make quesadilla's

Looked over the flyers starting tomorrow. Not a big shopping week. Few items I am buying for winter stock up (TP)

    Have a great day!

Good Morning! Yikes it seems cool out! Perfect evening to putter in the garage hopefully!

Starving today! Had lunch at 3pm yesterday so didn't feel like dinner. Now I want food! But 1st sipping my coffee.
Thinking I will make a homemade mac and cheese today. The men will love it!
We still have leftovers (chicken/potatoes) so that will be the only cooking I will do today.

I over paid my M/C. Now I have a $650 credit on it and no big purchases planned. Not sure how I managed to do that but it is done. Too bad it wasn't my CT M/C because then I could have paid the property taxes with it. (still have the cash to bring to the town to pay it in full- I should do that today!)

Well I better get rolling- I want to make today a productive day!

    Enjoy the day!

That's awesome that your city/town lets you pay property taxes with a MC, our town wants either debit or paid online via bank.
I do get a a bit of satisfaction paying for our garbage tags online with our rewards credit card.

They were on the bill paying list for Canadian Tire Credit Card - Years ago- Not sure if they still are. So 0% charge.
I haven't paid it that way in years so not sure. It was a way to get free CT $ on the card rewards.
I think they do take credit cards at the town but there is a service fee.

The smoke has now rolled in . We have been so fortunate this summer to not get it but now it’s here. It’s not as bad as years past but still yucky.

I'm beyond exhausted from yesterday's work day so I planned to take it easy but my place needs some TLC so here I go……..

I did a shop at save on foods on Sunday and was waiting on Airmiles but finally got my 38 Airmiles.

Got great news regarding some investment strategies we’ve been working on. Life insurance was approved which I was concerned about due to my cancer but thankfully all went well.

Having a bit of a spend event coming up. The car needs some work (our mechanic is gifting us the labour so only $$$ for the part), I’m headed out of town in 2 weeks for my hair appointment. My hairdresser is off during our vacation in September and he made room for me next week so I don’t have to wait until spring. Phew! Oh ya, home insurance is also due in September. Good thing we have budgeted and saved for these kinda things.

I've also worked way more these last few weeks than usual so that means more savings.

Off to try to plan the weeks meals and make a list of flyer items.

Have a good day @harbie ...good news about your mechanic being so generous. Nice that you're getting your hair done etc.

Wow must be nice to earn airmiles at Save On Foods ..both Sobey's and Metro here in Ontario dropped out of the airmiles program.
I like the airmiles receipts though and will be saving up AMs for redeeming on some Amazon e gift cards.

Just grateful for recent rains locally. I heard about hail in Calgary on the 5th and today's earthquake in Japan. Trying summer for Earth as well.

@coupongirl Thanks for saying there are no VIP offers at Giant Tiger via account. I did not see any last week or yesterday as I assume once I shop for first time with new VIP account, algorithm will send out some offers afterwards.
Also thrilled to checkout Clearance deals on Canadian Tire site. Got Wilton precut parchment paper 2 boxes at $2.43 each and last Wilton large baking cups at same price. Dash mini waffle iron for$10 (better than price Indigo had a few months ago)- can make waffles the next cool morning to come along.

TGIF!! Looks like a dark gray start to the day. At least it is cool out for now.
I don't mind the heat when at the beach but for everyday living I am not loving it!

Kitchen is clean! besides a few bowls in the sink. Will wash them up when I make my breakfast. Just enjoying my coffee now and planning my day.

Today looks sunny - this afternoon and rain Saturday and Sunday for my area. Hitting the beach or going kayaking later today to enjoy it while we can!
Then thinking dinner from our new fav food truck! We have been 2 times this summer so far. Fries one time and a burger the 2nd time. Expensive burger but oh so good!!! A nice treat! Perfect Friday night!

Wishing you all a fun and safe weekend!

    Good Morning Everyone,
UGH what a week, I will be honest this week has been very frustrating for me and it was nothing out of the normal but it was hitting me different thing week and I was not handling it well.

I have spent the last 2 days running between two locations (one of our production plants and head office) luckily they are 15 minutes apart. I was training a staff member in production and I had meetings in head office. But my schedule changed 3 times this week which was frustrating, staff were not respecting that I was training someone, I was getting emails, than text, than phone calls because I wasn't answering and even when I told them I was with a trainee they still were expecting me to drop everything and help them. Also I could not keep up on my emails this week, it was hopeless, I am still trying to deal with things from last week.

So, I deemed today a catch up day and I am not taking on anything new.

Yesterday I got lucky and my last meeting ended an hour early and since I was close to Costco I decided to go and do some Costco shopping. We needed a few things, not a ton but I think it was just what I needed to shift my focus because I noticed on the drive home even though I knew I was coming home to work, I was in a much better mood.

I looked at the flyers there are a few things I will pick up but nothing is needed, the only thing we needed was milk which I grabbed at Costco (turns out it was cheaper at Costco than RCSS sale price) so I will hold off shopping until next week. Which makes me happy as it is raining here and I hate shopping in the rain. We have everything we need for the weekend.

I am not sure if it is just because I got my remote day, today and am working from home but I must say I am in a much better mood. Yesterday driving home I was thinking, I have so much to get done but it is going to be another weekend of the nothing because well honestly, I am done. But today I am feeling a little more hopeful but it will all rely on me getting caught up today so we shall see how the day goes.

    Happy Friday Everyone.

Nobody here (that I shop with anyways) offers Airmiles so I only earn them through the Airmiles receipts or Shell. Funny thing is I actually earn WAY more by the receipts than I did at Safeway back in the day!

Just got new internet and modem as my old copper wires were crackling so they put in bell fibre.
Now my hubby can tear up the old desk upstairs and we will get rid of it.

I have to go out to sons and feed the hamster (he should have just given me the whole cage)I will stop at freshco and get 2 toilet paper trying to stock up on essentials when they are a really good price like frugalbigmama said for the winter.
