@lizzie bargain , OH MY GOSH, how scary. Praying for a quick recovering for your DD and her BF. It is so scary how when we are minding our own business how someone else choices and actions can affect us.

@coupon girl , how your husband heals quickly and feels better

@barbis9 , I did almost the exact same thing, I fell I am bleeding I cannot pick my stuff off my front pouch but when a neighbour asked if I was okay or needed help I said I said I was okay, no, I don't need help.

    Good Morning Everyone,
Thank you for the well wishes.

Emotionally I am all over the place right now, I am thankful it wasn't worse but I still have the moments of why did this happen (which is just how my brain works). Yesterday I was feeling guilty for not getting stuff done and for needing Mom's helps. I am also worried about the week to come. But today is a new day.

Yesterday I decided to clean up my work/bullet journal bin, all was going well until I had to put everything that shouldn't be in the bin away. I couldn't bend to put the recycling in recycling, I could not pull the bin with extra supplies off the shelf (it is above my head) so now I just have piles in different areas.

I felt guilty about the kitchen so I did my best to do what I could with Mom's help I got the dishwasher emptied and reloaded. Some of the hand dishes were done, I had to keep taking breaks and finally was done. Also, found places to push the stuff that needs to go downstairs so it is out of the way until I can lift again. As well there are a few dishes neither of us can put away so they are living on the counter. We are making it work.

I did make a batch of Peanut Butter Brownies yesterday, it was a slow process but got it done. Mom helped me make a Creamy Mushroom Chicken skillet (one-pan) meal for dinner.

Kind of freaking out a little bit, it snowed and we are supposed to get more snow and I have no idea how I will do the clean up and clean the cars but quite honestly, I don't want to think about that today.

Today I am going to have to see what sort of prep we can get done. My original plan will not work, just more than I can do right now so I will come up with a plan B.

    Happy Sunday Everyone.

Coming over from the January Thread, it does seem like the Moi program has some downfalls.

I personally haven't signed up yet and honestly I do not think I have missed any points.

I saw something about only getting the points on one product, is that personal offers or is that also for the offers you see in the flyer?

The one per would be a deterrent for me, I just look at the last week, I grabbed 4 Body Wash and got 1000 pts per, I grabbed 6 cans of Soup and got points for every can, this is how I personally build up my points.

I know I read somewhere Moi has the lowest redemptions levels but (and granted I haven't done a lot of digging) haven't seen what the points equals. For example 1000 pc points = $1, 100 scene points = $1, I do not see Moi advertising these comparisons.

@SassyAshley you aren't missing much not signing with Moi. That is correct, personal offers you get to buy a single one of the to earn the posted points. NO INCENTIVE. The ones in store you get the points on each item. Also unless you have a credit card that can be linked to them to earn greater rewards and to get offers I would say stick to the rewards you know and earn decent points on.

Depends too on how far away a participating Moi grocery store is to you, I have one Metro not too far, and the 2 FB stores maybe a 6-9 minute drive but I will only go to those stores if I need other items at the other stores adjacent to it. It's no wonder I frequent NF most times.

Well I talked to DD today and naturally she is still pretty sore. Waiting for the garage to open tomorrow where the car was towed so they can get their stuff. Her purse, his cell phone , clothing etc There is a report in the Salmon Arm observer if you want to read. The second Car pictured is DD's overturned vehicle. They landed upside down suspended by their seat belts and managed to crawl out the window. DD pulled herself up the embankment by rescue rope and he was stretchered out as in too much pain to go uphill. They had to go shopping for new clothing yesterday wearing Friday's blood stained clothing. Hopefully they both heal completely. The other drivers insurance company will be getting a big bill for food, hotel, clothes, rental car, lost wages, any ambulance charges and pain and suffering.

For those curious about Moi I just stopped to buy the blueberries and needed bread crumbs. None of the weekly offers mattered to me or they were imported from the US. I earned 2 points. I never see people redeeming more than 4.00 at a time.

Wow and I thought January was bad. I think everyone should just stay inside, warm and safe until summer or at least spring! I’m so glad everyone is alive and healing. What a great start to 2025 . That’s a scary accident @lizzie bargain (adorable pup though )

So we had our first snow storm of the season and while everyone out east would be hysterically laughing at us out here complaining of the snow but keep in mind we hardly get snow, we have almost zero snow removal capability since it doesn’t happen often and it’s a wet heavy snow that also likes to turn to ice. Yuck!

Thankfully Dh and I have today off and I pray it’s dealt with by tomorrow or else I’m canceling work. Funny enough where I work on Wednesday has zero snow . Anyways, I might take my dad’s suv to my eye appointment this morning as my car just doesn’t have the clearance but I’ll see how it goes. The temps are -7( now) to -14 later this week

Happy Monday! It has started here now- Not sure what we are expecting weather wise.

My coffee maker bit the dust on Friday. Looked around a bit but decided I will go back to Walmart and see if the display one is still on the clearance rack. Will take a chance if it is. This morning I made my coffee with a coffee filter over the travel cup and poured hot water from a pot on the coffee grinds. It worked so I am not in a rush till I find a deal on one I like.

My son's hockey team won the tournament! It was a very long weekend and yesterday was a very long day for them. They finally arrived home at 9pm. Of course they had to start the drive home in terrible weather but happy they had a good time.

I didn't cook at all this past weekend. So looking forward to some nice meals this week. Thinking tonight will be steak (since it is in the fridge) with baked potato and side of veggies. Maybe a small ceaser salad too since we have everything needed to make it! oh think I will pull a bag of shrimp too from the freezer and make it in the air fryer (DS did it one night and it turned out really good) Then the leftover shrimp will inspire tomorrow nights dinner- Shrimp/veggie stir-fry on rice! A plan in motion!

ok I better get my day rolling- have lots of work stuff to tackle.

The snow is really coming down now! Guess we are in for a wintery day today. Stuck in town again. My only outing will be to the gym later today. At least it gets me out of the house.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Good Morning Everyone,
I guess when they say it gets worse before it gets better applies to breaking your nose. I should not complain, I am very lucky it could have been so much worse but I was spinning a bit this morning because I went ahead and cancelled my week at work and will work remotely.

Right now I just feel constant pressure in my face and have a bit of a dull headache. I have yet to make it through a day without taking a 10 to 15 minute nap in the afternoon.

We are also supposed to get snow which was a huge factor for me in cancelling my week, right now I cannot bend or lift so I am not sure how I am going to shovel or clean the cars.

Only the bare minimum is getting done around the house. Today well I was heating up my breakfast I started emptying the dishwasher, there is a bunch of stuff I will have to leave for Mom since I cannot bend. I have been working at keeping the kitchen clean mainly for my own mental health since there are so many things that need my attention but I just cannot do right now.

Last night I made Mozzarella Chicken for dinner, Mom did all the chopping so all I had to do was season, add the pre chopped chicken chunks and pop in the oven. Also had to make a pot of pasta and made Garlic Bread and a Salad as well. It was nice to make a "proper" meal.

    Tonight's dinner is another mystery.

I know it is my body healing but oh my gosh the tired and feeling fuzzy headed is real. But let's push on and see what I can get done.

    Happy Monday Everyone.

@harbie none of us would ever laugh at the reactions of BC residents to snow. It can be terrifying to drive in when you're unfamiliar with the conditions.
Is this guy driving too fast in it or am I imaging it? Stay home tomorrow for sure if it doesn't melt away! Especially if the stuff freezes.

It feels like a pasta kind of night so changed the dinner plan. Had 2 freezer bags of cooked lean beef in the freezer that I pulled and used up an open jar of sauce in the fridge along with other sauce. I did cook the shrimp earlier today so that is in the fridge.
My issue is I am starving around this time so I try and wait to eat dinner at 4 and then I can have a snack later tonight (mmm apple and almond butter sounds good!)
