Threw another NY striploin roast into the oven and had a nap. Woke up 2 hours later. It should have been fine, but found the roast had over cooked. Now, I have well done instead of medium. Argggh. Not a total waste or inedible, but what a waste of an Angus roast. Put the roast outside in -27 degree weather in hopes of stopping any residual cooking from the retained heat. Sigh, thank goodness Feb is the shortest month of the year.

@harbie , if you are not used to driving in snow and because you don't get snow they do not have the equipment needed it can be quite scary. Especially if people are not used to driving to the conditions.

I have always said those around me scare me more than driving conditions because I can control how I drive but have no control of those around me.

@Frugalbigmama , I have been having the same issue, I keep getting super hungry around 3 to 3:30, but then it messes with dinner.

Also unless you have a credit card that can be linked to them to earn greater rewards and to get offers I would say stick to the rewards you know and earn decent points on.

Depends too on how far away a participating Moi grocery store is to you, I have one Metro not too far, and the 2 FB stores maybe a 6-9 minute drive but I will only go to those stores if I need other items at the other stores adjacent to it. It's no wonder I frequent NF most times.
I am in Quebec and we have had the Moi program for far longer. It is not as lucrative as the PC Optimum program. I don't shop at Metro or Super C as much as I do Maxi; however, the Moi program gives us a lot of free items on "Free Fridays". This makes it attractive to me.

@GeorgiaK I had a feeling that Quebec had much more lucrative Moi offers in general, especially since the programme has been there longer.
That sounds like a nice perk! ( Free Fridays! )

@GeorgiaK no free Fridays for us. I do like their produce so will always choose them when it’s a sale rather then price match.
Yesterday DS1 did a leg of lamb for dinner 🤢. My DH is British so we always do a Sunday roast as they call it, especially since my father in law joins us. They love lamb, me not so much. But I used the leftover to make hot pot for dinner today. It’s a favourite for DH. I was able to use up some carrots and potatoes that needed to go and he has lunch for a few days. My goal this year was to use up what we have and reduce waste and I feel I have been doing really well with this.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

DD got her stuff out of the car yesterday and sent me pics-OMG!! I can't believe my upside down daughter got herself out a back window and rappelled up the embankment holding onto a rope provided by EMS! The power of adrenaline!.
Luckily there was an off duty officer driving behind them who witnessed everything and clearly stated the other driver was at fault. One of many guardian angels including a bystander who climbed down the embankment to offer any help. I highly recommend the Mitsubishi Eclipse cross as very safe in a rollover. She will be shopping for another one!

Last night while cooking dinner around 630 someone posted on Facebook that our RCSS had $1.44 bacon. I debated on going since I hadn't moved my car since Sunday but thought I should go take a look. Grabbed a bunch- 500g packages that expire Feb 13th. Put 2 in the fridge and the rest in the freezer.
Thinking Chicken ceasar salad with real bacon is on the menu tonight!
