    TGIF!!! Sunshine and blue sky!

Some still without power in my area. Local towns still a mess and asking for locals only.

Enjoying my coffee...figuring out the action plan for the day.

    Have a great day!

    Trying to get motivated.

    Cleaned kitchen.
    Garbage out.
    Cleaned 1 bathroom.
Made bed. Cleaned off dresser. Sorted clothes in a basket (put away clean stuff put dirty in basket)
I want to have a shower but once I do that then I won't want to clean anymore so I better head out to my vehicle and organize my shopping bins/bags/coupon bag. I haven't eaten yet but thinking may go for a drive to use free slot play and free meal so will save my calories for that

Baked a brisket roast. It was supposed to cook at 300 Fahrenheit for about 5 hours to a temperature of between 180 and 210 degrees Fahrenheit but, I gave up after 12 hours. The temp was only about 170, but still a juicy and succulent result. Man, do I love brisket!

    Good Morning Everyone,
Oh what a week, there are also still come areas here without power. We got super lucky and never lost power.

I have to be honest I felt like Mother Nature was doing her best, we had the ice storm on the weekend, the on Wednesday we got more ice (no where near the amounts on the weekend but with some many still without power and damaged trees) and then on Thursday we had High Winds.

I was in the office on Wednesday and WOW did the weather change fast, I had said I see Flakes I am out. It was lightly snowing, ok, the drive will be okay and then all of a sudden in the blink of an eye I noticed the cars in the parking lot windshields were covered in ice. At that point I was out, I took it slow put the car in slippery mode (didn't know I had this until a couple weeks ago but also the first time I needed it), my drive took about an hour instead of 35 minutes but home safe.

Thursday night after work I stopped and did out grocery, we didn't need a lot, mainly to get through the weekend I needed Milk and decided to grab some sale items well I was there so I got Peppers, Tortillas, Tomatoes, Mushrooms, Almond Milk, Cesar Dressing and we needed more Dried Chives.

Then I went to the other store in town which I rarely shop at, it is more expensive but ever since corporate took over it isn't the best but No Frills doesn't have Pickled Ginger. I found it at the other store and to my surprise I checked the Wal-Mart app to make sure I wasn't overpaying and surprising it was cheaper there than it was at Wal-Mart.

I did forget grab a pack of ground beef when I was at the store so I might run out right when they open to grab a pack. I think we are low on cooked ground beef in the freezer. Or maybe I should clean the freezer and shop another day, hmmmm we will see how I feel.

I woke up this morning just before 5 am, I was wide awake so I decided to start my day. It is 7:30 and I have had breakfast, started our meal plan for the week and finished running a delete for work I was trying to run yesterday but it was fighting me, not sure if it is because I am the only one logged in but it is nicely running in the background now.

    Happy Saturday Everyone.

I waited at NF before they opened to get my DS his FREE bottle of Fuze tea ( first 300 customers ). There were NO other people in the parking lot.
Now I know why, the bottle is a single serve size! ha ha I had to pick up a case of wet Friskies cat food anyways at NF since my WM subscribe and
save order alerted me they were out of stock.

The back and forth between provinces reminds me how lucky I am to have the ability to price match in Ontario. PM a whole bunch at RCSS yesterday and it was nearly a 20.00 savings. In NS I do most of my shopping at farm stores and butchers as we have few choices close and superstore is so incredibly overpriced. I stocked up on Vector as is DHs favourite cereal. SDM had it on for 4.50 a box with 3000PCO when you buy 2 and at some point I downloaded an offer for 2.00 off a box. I took advantage and bought 4 boxes as it’s the maximum.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

@lilo0003 that is so great getting your DH's favourite Vector cereal at a sale price. We've never bought that cereal before but last week a combo offer of $2.00 off a box through a NF digital coupon along with a personal offer made the box just .99 ( bought the peanut Butter version for DS ). Then today I bought a 550 gram box ( regular flavour ) of Vector @$5.49 and used the $2.00 off digital coupon again! Jury is still out on what the cereal tastes like, we're waiting on DS to rate it...ha ha

    Good Evening Everyone,
Managed to knock out a few things today.

I got the pantry tidied up, I have not been able to do it since I broke my nose because of all of the bending and lifting. I put everything away and did a little reorganizing.

Then I cleaned the bathroom, this is the first time I was able to clean the bathroom without taking a break for my face hurting, YAY!!!!!! it is getting better. Was also able to clean the tub.

Finally I went down a re organized the Chest Freezer, there wasn't anything to go from the freezer except for a couple of English Muffins that were freezer burnt but I consolidated a few things and figured out what needs to be used up. I have a lot of frozen fruit, going to try to use up the Strawberries and Pineapple to get them out of the freezer. Also need to find something to do with a bag of Frozen Butternut Squash.

I did take a bag of garbage out to the dumpster, mostly packaging but also a couple of things out of the pantry (a few old potatoes, a bottle of Garden Cocktail that was a funny colour).

This afternoon I realized I never closed my budget for March so I did that. Somehow, I only spent half of our grocery budget in March so happy to move that forward. I have set up April's budget.

I have a good start on our meal plan for next week. Just have to plan our prep.

Think it is almost time to crawl into bed with my book an read a bit.

@SassyAshley Congrats! you knocked out more than a few things for sure! So pleased about your face injury healing BUT I'm fairly sure my happiness level would be mixed if that were me and now I was able to do cleaning. Seems like an unfair trade off doesn't it? I'm kidding! Babying an injury is only good if someone else is available to pick up the neglected chores. I had 2 able bodied guys here when I got my knee replacement last year, so very grateful to have their assistance but the actual cleaning done by them? A comedy of sorts but they tried I guess.

@walkonby , so true, although I also feel like this adulting at its finest when you are happy to clean.

I have to be honest, now that spring is kind of here (not happy to look at my weather app and see we are supposed to get snow again tomorrow, REALLY!?!?!?!?! can last weekend not be out last blast and we can move into Spring?), I just want to purge my whole house. Now granted it isn't all my stuff so I cannot actually purge it all but a girl can dream.
