@harbie , congratulations on the good news about your kidney.
@flemeth & @cath007 , I have been lucky with my personal offers they have mostly been produce but for awhile there I was getting natural health products I had never even heard of and never purchase anything remotely similar to these products. But I did notice after I took advantage of the spend X on Y get Z now I am getting fewer of those. Honestly, I only did a couple of times when sales or price matching lined up.
Right now I am trying to stock up where I can and trying to stay under budget so there is some carryover if needed later.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

This morning after I knocked out a few things for work I decided to take a nice hot shower and for the first time in a long time switched our shower head to the massage setting and just let it hit my neck, shoulders and backs. Luckily something worked and my headache eased off.
I was hoping since I worked late a couple nights this week (project with a hard deadline and honestly, I messed up the day I thought it was Monday which was a work from home day but it was Tuesday when I was in training and it wasn't something we could do ahead of time), I was hoping to finish a little early tomorrow but now I have a late afternoon meeting. So I thought well maybe today I can end a little early knock a few things out, nope one of my other meetings from tomorrow got moved to today. Oh well it is what it is.
After work I did manage to do some light cleaning, right now my focus is why are you in my house, which means things like packaging or random things that are just laying around need to leave. Like I still had the packaging from the wiper blades plus some tissue paper from a gift in a gift bag. Although I will admit I started second guessing myself when I went to get rid of the gift bag.
The only thing about purging is I always second guess myself. It is the same upstairs I have all of these packages from ordering clothes that I thought oh I will use these bags when I tidy up as garbage bags which I have never done but still I have the stack. I do not know why I do these things but I do. Any yes, if you are wondering the bags are still there I look at them this morning but left them there LOL.
I have two more pans to wash and the kitchen is clean and then it is time to relax.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,

uh oh @coupon girl ....is this the first step towards a knee replacement? I lived with the pain of bone on bone in my right knee
for 8 years before I considered replacement. It's all behind me now, it was done 1 year ago this month.
Best of luck with your xray results!!Last edited by walkonby; Thu, Apr 24th, 2025 at 09:56 PM.

I love having handy sons, DS2 is training to be a mechanic and had all the right tools so he and his brother swapped all the snow tires off 3 vehicles today. He also helped me do a bunch of yard work as today was his day off.
We have had a crazy week as my nearly 99 year old father in law had what we thought was a mild stroke Sunday so he has been in the hospital. After lots of tests he is likely getting out Friday and is back to his usual self. He lives in retirement home with very little support beyond meals because that’s all he needs. I think for the next few weeks we will pay for a little extra help to assist with his bathing. I am glad it happened when we were still in Ontario while I know DS1 could manage it not something I would want to put on him. Unfortunately my DHs brother is in palliative care so he has been bouncing back and forth between hospitals. We will likely stay in Ontario for another 2 weeks and then head east, with lots more trips back this summer.Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Good Afternoon!
Not a bad looking day today. Tomorrow is showing rain...of course it is because it is the Elmvale Maple Syrup Festival!
The 3rd batch of burger patties were made this morning. 8 in the fridge to go with the 8 buns and he rest in the freezer and more beef added to the pasta dinner beef. Kitchen is clean!
Popped out to RCSS and didn't buy anything from the clearance rack (tons of juices...hair dye products) and then GT. Forgot to redeem my FPC for chocolate almonds- the reason I went in there! I do have a top to return so will try and get back in there Sunday. I did pick up DS's requested spice and a box of cereal for him as well.
I am starving....maybe I will bbq the burgers soon and have an early dinner of a burger and the last 1/2 of my kale salad. Then the burgers are ready for the others for when they get home.
Yesterday I ordered 2 new pairs of runners from Puma. Under $40 each (reg $90) with free shipping. Good deal in my books!

Good Evening Everyone,
I was in office for a meeting today, there was an announcement which actually my boss told me a few days ago so we had the announcement a pizza lunch followed by a department meeting.
I stopped at No Frills on the way home to grab a few things, we needed Milk, Mushrooms, they also had sour cream on sale so I grabbed 2 and then maybe I was having a sweet craving. I grabbed two Dairy Milk bars as I wanted to try the new Crunchie one and a plain one for Mom, then I found some Mini Eggs on sale so grabbed 2 bags for Mom and also grabbed the gummy bears that are on sale. These are the ones we grew up eating but when I was little you couldn't get them in Canada our relatives used to send them over from Germany.
I also grabbed a lime so I could make Baked Tacos and Cheater Mexican Corn for dinner tonight. I used Salsa Chicken in the Baked Tacos and on my so good. I love the baked Tacos I use Tortillas and they crunchy without using hard shells.
Not going to lie, I was tempted to just leave the kitchen and deal with it tomorrow since it is Saturday but I know tomorrow me will appreciate that I took the time and got it done tonight so I will wake up to a clean kitchen.
I am hoping to get some purging done tomorrow but we will see what sort of mood mom is in, catch her in the wrong mood and nothing will leave the house so we shall see.
Time to work on my latest crochet project I need a bigger basket for my markers.

Came across an empty Freshco bag lying on the grass and decided to fill it with garbage before tossing it in the nearest bin.
My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Good Saturday morning.
Yesterday was a productive work day that ran smoothly which isn’t always the case.
Met with our tax man and handed over our file. I’m actually uo to date for this years taxes already as I don’t want to leave it this late next year.
Stopped by a brand new NF in town. It opened the day before and while it was nicely stocked it was dead. Dh and I were followed by a teen version of Paul Blart. It was rather comical as he hooked his thumbs into his “bullet proof vest” in an attempt to appear tough as he followed us around. Not sure what made him think an old gal like me that was walking slowly due to her achilles acting up could actually run off with multiple cartons on soy milk and veggies
.
Yesterday was 27.5 degrees but not sure what’s up for today temp wise but it’s sunny and BEAUTIFUL so I’m headed outside to tend to my garden.
Enjoy the weekend everyone.

ha ha ...oh my! Getting stalked by security at a grocery store is something I've never experienced. Young guy may have been all pumped up with his new responsibility.
So many NHL games on this afternoon and tonight!! Plus the Blue Jays snapped their 5 game losing streak beating the Yankees last night in the 9th inning!
Quite funny, Kirk has the best luck when he hits. Teams often flub when fielding the ball giving him that extra time to RUN!
Not sure what the meals will be today, maybe burgers since it's been a minute since we've BBQ'd any. Enjoy the weekend all!Last edited by walkonby; Sat, Apr 26th, 2025 at 10:29 AM.

Good Morning Everyone,
It is a little chilly out there this morning, I walked outside and was surprised and then when that wind hits on my, I might have regretted not taking a jacket.
I ended up going to Costco this morning, I saw last night online the 2L bottles of Olive Oil are on sale this weekend only for $19.99 and could not pass that up so I grabbed 2 which means I know have 3 on hand. I bought one earlier this year even before the tariff stuff someone said Olive Oil prices were going up so grabbed an extra.
Well I was there I also got one of the day off Rotisserie Chickens for $5.99, no plans for it but always nice to have.
The all Beef Hot Dogs have come back to $24.99 for the 3-pack (still missing the days of $14.99, but better than the $29.99 they have been lately which I refuse to pay). So got those and some buns.
Also got some running shoes for $39.99 they are mens but they are all black which is what I prefer. I will put them on and walk around the house in them, if they don't work for me I will return.
Also grabbed Toilet Paper, Paper Towel, Naan, Mini Cucumbers, oh and Salad Topper was on sale so grabbed that.
I got to Costco early so I ran to RCSS first to grab Peppers, Strawberries, Carrots and Miracle Whip all of which were on sale.
Also ran into Michael's as Mom needed a new blade for her cutter and since I was right there I ran in and grabbed it.
Fridge stuff is put away. Will deal with the other stuff shortly, first I need tea and food, yep, slept in, woke up rolled out of bed and was out the door.
