My Shell station had 7x salvaged sandwiches and subs for distribution. All were gone before I got to the end of the block.

Rescued a carton of med. eggs from the trash at RCSS.My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

Good Morning Everyone,
Ok, I did it, I ordered a washing machine and dryer.
I ended up going with the Maytag, it had all the features I wanted and I could get it delivered this week. Not going to lie, I felt super confident about this choice yesterday, today I am questioning, welcome to my brain. Mostly I am just worried about my Pillow Top Mattress cover and will it fit without the removable agitator. But I did go with the largest option which was a 6.0 Capacity and according my research to wash a King Size comforter you only need a 5.0 capacity and this is a queen so, hoping all will be good.
It is so funny because Mom would have just logged on picked one and it was what it was was but I researched for over a week and as much as I know I needed to just order it, still feel like I needed more time. I truly want to know I made the right decision and the perfect decision for us even though perfection, I question if it is obtainable in reality.
Yesterday I got a bunch of work things done, still some things to get done but that is life.
I got the kitchen cleaned, with me being out of town the first half of the week, Mom had stacked her dishes so the kitchen needed to be cleaned. I ran the dishwasher before I left but it needed to be emptied and reloaded and the hand dishes done. As well I needed to wash my dishes from being away, although when I travel all of my food is covered I just don't feel my best when I eat out three meals a day so I like to take food with me for Breakfast and Lunch.
Today, I need to figure out everything that will need to be moved for them to deliver the washer and dryer. Although I had to laugh because when I was telling Mom out options and what I wanted to do she looked at me said "is next week a good idea?" Um, yes, we need a washer and really the only part of this stressing me out is moving the fridge because it does not slide on our uneven tile floor. I did order an appliance lifter and I think I will buy a thin sheet of plywood hoping I can lift it and slide it on the plywood. But also fingers crossed the appliance lifter comes early, I can only find them on Amazon and originally it said next day delivery and now it says next Friday so "fingers crossed*.
I need to get moving or nothing will get done.

I was one of the lucky ones and won the 50000 PCO at SDM when you spend 75.00. It’s been ages since I shopped at Shoppers because the deals are just not there. But this was too good to pass up. My only splurge in the transaction was some ponytail holders. Otherwise it was all on sale and stuff we needed. I also earned 12 AM from the receipt.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

It is still currently 28 degres Celsius right now.
And this afternoon It was 32 degres....not counting the humidex factor.
Going outside is really painfull for me.
I did a few errands because I had no choice...
Thanks god for ac...I cannot live without.I dont know what I would do without....
Tomorrow it will be rain and thunderstorms.
EDIT:no signs of rain and thunderstorms yet and it is the same weather as yesterday....so 30 degres,humidex...hot and humid....2 words I dislike....
*******The AC is on none stop since 2 days in a row now..********
EDIT: Maybe an hour ago, some rain and thunderstorms.
It did not last long.
Thanks god ,we did not loose the power....
23 degres now but the humidity is still there......Last edited by cath007; Sun, Jul 13th, 2025 at 09:25 PM. Reason: explanations, adding more infos

Good Morning Everyone,
A little sore today but I think it is from moving everything around yesterday.
I reorganized the "craft" room the best I could to make some room so I can move stuff in there well they make the delivery.
I emptied one of the shelving units in the pantry as I was have to disconnect it for ther delivery. Good news is my pantry is not bare but we are not fully stocked so I was able to move some stuff around and keep most of it accessible.
Then we emptied the cubes in the hallway upstairs, this honestly took a lot longer than I expected. It was mostly full of Mom's Journals and Scrapbooks, we boxed them up and ended up with 3 boxes which are now living in her room as she did not want them in the basement.
I am happy to report there has been some purging which always makes me happy. There really wasn't anything in this area we could donate but I know those piles will come. I am really hoping seeing progress will keep the ball rolling although not going to lie since we are taking out storage it is tricky to find homes for the things we are keeping. There is a lot of well now we need to clean out this cabinet or that shelf to make room, but it is process and one step at a time.
I am enjoying seeing the progress but I hate the it gets worse before it gets better stage. By the end of the day I was done.
Today, we tackle the front entry area, we have a small table there that will have to be moved when they come, plus a filing cabinet but I thought we were getting rid of but now I am not sure. I do not see why we would keep it other then sentimental value (it was my great grandfathers from his plumbing business). But it is old and heavy so moving it is not fun.

Good morning. It’s been another busy week.
I had a new client this week and it was a long physically demanding day so I was out of communication the next day. Also woke up with an internal stye (oh YAY
). Getting better but not gone completely yet.
Yesterday was 4 years since loosing Harley so I wasn’t in the best of moods. I know most won’t get it but I’m still grieving and it’s sucks
.
Dh took me to the mall yesterday to get some shampoo that I’ve been needing and then we stopped in at Reitmens and I found a pair of flowy pants that mimic linen but aren’t. 2 pairs on sale for $41 each plus got some R cash back coupon offer thing for a future purchase. Then we spent $ on sushi because it was HOT (still 30.5 plus humidity) at 6pm.
If anyone has a recommendation for a 2 slice toaster that isn’t a zillion $$$ but really good quality I’d love to hear it. We purchased a Cuisinart at CT and it was returned the next day as it was defective and wouldn’t pop up.
Off to finish breakfast and then hit the gym before the heat gets to be too much.

@harbie: ho dear @harbie.
I am giving you many many many hugs.
I totally get it 100%.We never forget our precious furbaby....
I understand you so much about your furbaby Harley.
It will be 1 year in August since my dear loved Stella passed away...
I regret to just have only 2 good pictures in my FB but better than nothing.
I still look at them.
They are precious to me.
My only memory.....
1 is the one I send it to you when I wrothe the message last year.
The other is when she had her long hairs.
So I am still grieving and in pain.
We never forget,we continue to live thinking of them.
I talk about Stella to Eve sometimes. It comfort me a little bit....
I am enjoying Eve each day, each minute.
I am feared to lost her and to live and accept another lost and grieving.I am not ready for that.We are never ready to face that....Last edited by cath007; Mon, Jul 14th, 2025 at 11:53 AM. Reason: explanations, adding more infos

Good Morning Everyone,
Up early today which I love but feeling kind of tired and not sure why. I thought I slept well last night or at least I thought I did.
Still working on the Hallway.
The cubes have been cleaned and moved to the basement. I do not have a plan for these but at some point I do plan to put storage of some sort in the L in our laundry room as that is supposed to be our storage area. So for the time being I am keeping all storage options so that when the time comes I do not end up having to rebuy something we already owned but got rid of.
I started on the entryway. I moved everything out except for the filing cabinet, I need to move this today and today I am going to deep clean that area. I need to vacuum and mop, I would love to clean the walls but not sure today is the day for that.
I really do think I have cleaning ADD and it is so hard for me to be focused. Even yesterday well cleaning the way hallway, I was thinking "OH I should clean out the front closet because some of this needs to go in there." But I had to remind myself yes, it needs to be done but it isn't needed for the washer to be delivered. So I did just add what needed to go in the closet to be dealt with at a later date.
When I start doing something I want to do it all but then I also know that is when nothing gets done because I start 12 different things and finish none.
The plan for today is work, I need to rewrite a training plan, looks like I need a manual. Then around the house I need to vacuum and mop the front hallway and maybe wash down the walls, we will see about the walls.
Then I need to figure out how I am going to move the fridge. I tried to move it yesterday and could not get it move at all. This is stressing me out and Mom keeps telling me not worry about it but at the same time I don't think with her hip she can help me. UGH, I hate my kitchen floor, but I am sure I will figure it out.

Here we are again! Monday! Still hot here. And we have the smoke so the air quality is not good.
It was nice to be out in the car yesterday- Took coffee in the morning and went to FB. Too hot even for the beach- Didn't want to risk getting too much sun yesterday. We almost ordered pizza last night...but made pancakes for dinner instead. Just wasn't really hungry for anything.
Today- DS has my car (he is working on cleaning his- underneath- he was going to take it down to drive today but I told him I didn't need mine so he could drive mine. My friend is picking me up for lunch! So just enjoying my coffee now but won't eat breakfast since we are going for lunch
Clean laundry to be put away. Dishes washed. Fridge clean out. Plan meals for the next few days using up stuff on hand/freezer.
Enjoy the day!
