I know from my experience when my fur baby was diagnosed with diabetes it was a lot of info for us since he was very healthy before that and then 2 weeks after the diagnosis he lost his vision . Once we sat down and process the situation we were able to come up with a plan. My vet is the same vet I have since he was 8 weeks old so his history was on file . We had to do a lot adjustment in our house and also made plans for when we want to travel and when we have company. You will come up with the best plan that works for you .

Another snow day for our area. So glad I didn't go out of town for a visit with the plan to come back home this morning!

I unfortunately have to go out at noon for a massage....This is why I hate booking stuff this time of year! (at least I parked in the garage last night so my vehicle is snow free!) The only good thing is since I am out and near the No Frills I can go get the melon/raspberries/cucumbers on sale that I desperately need! (craving sweet healthy food )

Today- Work- so much to get done....Really need to power through so I can work on a few other things tomorrow.
House- Tidy kitchen- Clean 1 washroom. (Have everything ready so when I need a break I can get at it!)
Dinner- Make my steak dinner lol (Leftover pasta for the family)
Get out for a walk this evening. I need the fresh air! Didn't leave the house at all yesterday and that is not good for me.

I better get at the things! Have a great day!

@cath007 There should never be any rude responses in here about Eve and what your decisions will be for her.
When it comes to our precious pets the cost of their medical care is enough to send any of us into a spiral.
I wish you all the best but can offer little advice because animals often become our soulmates, I believe Eve is like
that for you. Big hugs to you both.

    @cath007, **HUGS**

Fur babies become part of our families and sometimes hard choices need to be made and no one should judge these.

What makes it hard is they cannot tell us what they are feeling.

At the end of the day you have to make best decision for you and Eve.

I am sure some disagree with me on this but it sounds like it is not as simple as one diagnoses so we have to look at their quality of life.

These choices hurt us, the people who have to make them the most.

@coupon girl , I was reading an article this morning, and it said the average family of 4 will pay just under $1000 more for groceries next year.

I realize none of us are considered the average family, but where does it stop?

I have seen quite a few articles saying there will be a chicken shortage in the new year with a "temporary" price increase. I do not buy temporary increase. But now I am also reading there may be a beef shortage.

There are already so many people struggling.

I call this the 'icky' season; just warm enough to let me sweat while running, but not cool enough to keep me dry. When the sweat dries, it gets mighty cold! Slipping and sliding all over the slush. No place to walk, without soaking my feet.

Was hit a glancing blow by a car in the McDonalds drive-through. SOB couldn't even bother to stop to check on me. No big deal. Another driver turned across my path, as I crossed the road. Good thing that I was watching for such stupidity.

Rescued a wrap and a burger from my Shell station.

Got a couple of 4.5lb chubs of oven-roasted chicken from RCSS for $1.18 each.

Continuing to try and clean out my freezers. Ate a bunch of chicken breasts and ground turkey from 2020-6. Tastes just as good as the day I bought them.

@Sass eyashley I don’t believe anything about a temporary increase. It’s seems like one the prices go up they rarely come down. Thankfully I am the only coffee drinker in my house but the price hurts and there are few deals to be had. It such a part of my morning routine but I am not willing to give it up but I am certainly reducing my consumption.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

    Agreed!

And I too love my morning coffee! Try to keep stocked up from sales.... Still cheaper then a daily Starbucks
