Happy Tuesday! It is snowing heavily but it is really pretty snow! (I'm sure not pretty when driving)

Dinner last night was a hit and happy to have leftovers for dinner tonight! Will make it often for sure!!
So tonight is leftovers night. Tomorrow night I will make the tray of BLSL chicken thighs. I will marinate them later today and put in the fridge overnight.

I didn't end up leaving the house yesterday (was a busy work day and then I started dinner as soon as my work day was over) Maybe I should just stay in again today (go for a walk around the neighbourhood) but not drive anywhere.

Add laundry to the list of things that didn't get done yesterday. Today for sure!

Ok now to write out a to do list so I get stuff done today.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning Everyone,
It is also snowing here, they are saying 2 cm, we will see, I feel like quite a bit is coming down. Guess I will be shovelling this afternoon.

I did get out and ran to No Frills on my lunch yesterday, I actually did not grab a lot but a few sale items I wanted to stock up on and a few needed items, I got:
    3 x Potatoes $1.35 - Member Pricing
    2 x Broccoli $1.25 (PM Zehrs)
    1 x Garlic 3-count $0.99
    1 x Lemon 2lbs $3.99
    1 x English Muffins $2.25 - Member Pricing
    4 x Fries $2 - Hit of the Month
    5 x Veloutine $4.29 - 5000 pts/$10 spent (I spent $21.45, I got back 10,000 pts) = $2.29/box

The plan was to go to Costco after I finished work but a last minute meeting popped up so I ended my day later than expected and didn't have time to run to Costco. That will happen another day, but not today.

I did try to start Mom's car and it sounds like it is going to start and then won't start so I have her booked into the mechanic later this week. I just want to get it take care of. Originally I was going to work from our location that is close by that day but they are saying now it might only take an hour so by the time I get to work, set up, it could be time to head back. They offer free Wi-Fi and have office stations set up so I may just work from there.

Last night we just had a dutch-baby for dinner as we had lunch late and weren't super hungry. Tonight I am not sure yet, I have a lot of potatoes now, but I kinda want a bowl but feel like we have been eating a lot of rice so we shall see.

    Happy Tuesday Everyone.

We've never bought toothpaste, well o.k. I could count on 1 hand the number BUT today I had to buy Crest
Gum Detoxify for DH ( our dentist never has free samples of that one ). Since FB has the 63 ml tubes for $4.99
I grabbed 2. Not sure what that toothpaste sells for regularly so I went on trust that it was a sale....lol.

So yesterday was a loooooooooooooong day. It’s started out with an automatic withdrawal that took more than was authorized so let’s just say a pain to get it fixed (still not returned to us ).

Then on the way to BC Cancer to get my dad’s meds we witnessed a pedestrian almost get crushed by a truck! The pedestrian started into the crosswalk even though the truck was stopped mid turn to let others pass (the light had 6 seconds left and he just started being rolled out as he was in a wheelchair!). We stopped and I ran over in the rain to see if anyone needed help but he was already picked up and in his chair. Unfortunately the guy in the chair and the one pushing him were addicts that were not quite there and they just left. I gave the driver my info just in case and consolidated him and he went into shock a bit when he said “I could have killed him! , I couldn’t see him”.

After going to BC Cancer off to downtown Vancouver . Long day, rainy, bad drivers and then rush hour traffic home.

The only spend was $8 for a new brand of protein bars and $34 at a plant based bakery so not bad. Oh ya and $10 in parking.

I swore I had the day off today but just before falling asleep I had to check something else on my phone and that’s when I noticed I was not only working but I was on a different week than I thought it was .

Get to work this morning after a mild vertigo flare up only to head home as my client needed to reschedule for next week.

I'm tackling some light laundry before picking up Dh. Hope everyone else has a better day

Well I got an unexpected surprise this evening.

I was finishing up my work day and went to make dinner, I put the potato wedges in the oven and went outside to shovel our steps.

After shovelling the steps, I decided to take cart and grocery bags back to my car and clean off the cars.

I do not know why, but I had my keys in my pocket and I have added Mom's spare key to my key ring and I decided let's just try to start her, even though I was telling myself it won't start. It didn't start yesterday so why would it start today. I have no idea but tonight she started right up.

Change of plans came in the house to grab my glasses and purse and told Mom the car started so I was off to drive her.

I did my normal loop to work and back and I was going to text Mom I am going to to do another loop or two, order pizza I will drop your car off (afraid if I turned her off she may not restart), grab my car and go get pizza.

Then I realized I was in my sweats, I didn't even think of it and there is no way I was going to get out of the car in my sweats so on to plan B. We need a drive-thru which meant going in the opposite direction (which was fine because I wanted to keep driving her). Only options we like were Swiss Chalet or Mary Brown's and I just got Mary Brown's last week so Swiss Chalet it was.

I did not want to get take out tonight but I knew I wanted to drive her for a good 45 minutes to an hour to recharge her (fingers-crossed she starts again tomorrow and maybe I won't have to get her boosted later in the week to take her to mechanic). Which meant not getting home until after 6 pm. As it was I got home closer to 6:30 but she got a good drive.

Okay maybe I am feeling guilty about the take-out but if I can keep this car running and get her to mechanic later this week I will be ecstatic. This car is making me spin. I just want things to work the way they should.

@coupongirl the Clinique moisture surge is what I use and it’s so expensive but thankfully a large bottle lasts nearly a year. Getting a seniors discount and 20x the points made it a little less painful.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.

Currently we have a GI outbreak on our cruise-so I am doing lots of handwashing. Yesterday they confiscated the Scrabble games for cleaning-then we have to sign them out with cleaning between folks.
Good news-my sis is able to join me on the cruise in Sri Lanka for the last month-that will be fun and also she is brining my fanny pack that I lost at the airport!
