@HermanH not all homeless people are "bums". I know several that lost their jobs and homes out of no fault of their own. We all need to be grateful for what we have and to be kind to the less fortunate.

    Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was fun day. Went for a drive to the casino to use free play and bonus free play. (came home with cash!) Had a free lunch and brought a meal home for everyone.
Gas- it is usually cheaper in that area but not this weekend- Price was higher then home so didn't fill up the tank (too cold anyway!)

Today- Checked the Flash food app before heading out. Lots of veggie/fruit boxes with a great variety for $5. Waited awhile and then checked it before heading out and they were marking things down so I bought one for $2!! This box will plan the meals for us this week (4 bananas/4 tangerines/1 peach/4 apples/2 mangos/2 limes/1 lemon/1 avocado/7 tomatoes/3 peppers/2 onions/1 cucumber/1 large sweet potato/2 red potatoes/1 bulb of garlic!
Best box I have ever bought and everything is nice. All stuff I needed (out of onions/peppers etc)
My sweet treat is either a banana or apple drizzled with chocolate. (I am trying to cut out processed crap and so far so good!)
I will make taco bowls (limes and Avocado/onions/peppers!) Stir fry with chicken (peppers and onions/garlic will get used up)

Since I didn't have to pick up much (that veggie/fruit box made that possible) I picked up a few stock up items (back up Hellmans/ 4 cheese bars (Armstrong .50 coupons) The cantaloupe at No Frills are really nice- grabbed 2 for .99 with the App. Found fancy Multigrain bread for 50% off (freezes great) DS likes Garlic bread- on for $2.99 at Food Basics (found one for 50% off because it was squished a bit) Picked up one try of the sirloin steak on at RCSS. I am not a fancy steak person so this works...add some veggies/potato and we have a meal. That was the only meat I picked up- we will pull chicken from freezer and make tacos another since we have the Lean beef from GT in the fridge and all the veggies to use.
    Was a great shopping trip!

Coupons- No luck finding any of the blue cow coupons (does it exist in English?)
Found .50C off Armstrong Protein cheese bars (on for $4.77 at No Frills this week)
$1.50 Lactancia Cream Cheese (on for $3.49 at No Frills and receive 1000 PC Pts)

    Have a wonderful Sunday!

    Good Evening Everyone,
I did not get everything I wanted to do today done but I managed to take care of anything that would have become food waste.

I had a bottle of passata to use up so I made a double batch Enchilada Sauce, I will make Enchilada bake one night this week and freeze the rest.

I had apples to use up so I made an Amish Apple Fritter Loaf, this did not work so well, the bottom stuck and the middle was raw and feel out even though I checked it with a toothpick. So I have saved what I could and glazed what was left (just over a quarter of the loaf) and we will have some of that for dessert.

Produce has been prepped (kind of), Cucumbers, Broccoli and Celery are done. Mom did the Napa and now she is working on the 6lbs of green onions. The ones for the fridge are done she is just cutting up what will go into the freezer. We are stocked for awhile.

Dinner tonight was Pizza, it has come up a few times and before we end up ordering take-out I figured let's just throw it out there. Not sure what I did different this time, made it in the bread machine, used the same recipe I always do but the crust was super yummy tonight.

Having one of those moment where it felt like I got so much more done until I typed it out, but I am happy with what I got done. We will see how my week goes, right now it is a work on all my projects type of week but I know that could change so we will see.

I do have a plan and a few dinners will give us leftovers which will become lunches so we shall see how it goes.

I know a few in similar circumstance. Unfortunately, the vast majority of those I see are not and are in their poor circumstance due solely to their own poor decisions. Instead of correcting their behaviour, it is always someone else's fault. They refuse to recognize any personal responsibility. I'll help any one who wants it, but I won't throw away a nickel to anyone who refuses to change themselves and prefer to wallow in their own pity party.

Back to Monday! Weather seems uneventful so that is good!

Today- Work. Make breakfast. Tidy kitchen. Clean out fridge. Prep everything for Chicken Stir-fry for dinner. I took out 2 huge BLSL breasts from the freezer for dinner.
Empty pot drawers onto butchers block and decide what goes. Wipe out drawers and put back the keepers.
Tidy top of tall dresser in my room that has been collecting odd clean socks!

Move donation stuff to car so I can drop off some time this week.

    Have a great day!

    Good Morning Everyone,
Not even 10 am and I am already ready for today to be over. It has been a crazy morning and I think somehow my body knew because I did not want to get out of bed this morning. But hoping things will calm down now. I am still catching up from Friday when work broke my brain and in the middle of dealing with that a truck showed up and we had no paperwork.

I am thinking on my lunch I will run out and grab a few groceries. I did not go last week and there are a few things I need to pick up (onions are on sale at No Frills).

I will also need to go to Costco at some point, turned out Mom started using the 18-pack of eggs I bought (we also had a 30-pack from Costco), I thought the 18-pack was full but it is not so will need to pick up eggs and we are flying through these mushrooms, I should have bought 2 packs.

Since there is snow coming in, I should also drive Mom's car. Maybe I will run to bulk barn and grab more Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate (it is so freaking good and I am out).

    Back to catching up.

    Happy Monday Everyone.

God morning busy ladies^^^ , the only thing I wanted to do this morning was to see if I could fit 30L of gas in the tank because I'm no fan of
pumping on a Tuesday. ( garage /recycle /etc day ) usually a pita to move bins 2 times to get out.
I turned on the vehicle, gas gauge shows slightly over 1/2 a tank. For 30L to fit it needs to be slightly under 1/2 tank. So, I drove to WM hoping
to burn a bit off ( lol ...driving to burn gas so I can put more in ).
I'm part way through another one of those Shell Air Mile offers and it HAS to be 30L minimum to record the AM bonus.
yes.... first wold problems I create for myself.

It actually worked out. As I pumped the gas after the WM shop I could hear the tank getting close to full. I stopped right on 30L.
When I started the vehicle up the needle was dead on FULL. WHEW! Now I " could " relay this entire story to DH when he gets up for work BUT
with the bitter cold temps being what they are, I don't think he'd give a Rats " you know what ". Better that I vent about it in here, sorry guys.

@walkonby , I have been there when there is a PC Points offer. I know this a good problem to have but now that gas prices have gone down I find hitting the $40 mark a little challenging as someone who normally fills up at half a tank (what can I when I shared a car with Hezy {Mom's Dad} the rule was do not go below half a tank and I continue to live by that knowing if I get a last minute call to go somewhere, I can jump in the car and go and have time before I need to find a gas station). Now I need to be lower to hit that $40 mark, so there have a been a few times I took the long way to the gas stations in hope of hitting $40.
