Spring is here!

Taxes are done.

Now, to wash and stow all my winter gear.

Started a chub of Montreal smoked meat, to celebrate the occasion. Man, do I love the taste of smoked meat in a sandwich. While it may be sacrilege to some, I like mine with a slice of onion and cheese. The chub was purchased and frozen 4 years ago, during the pandemic, when stores couldn't give the stuff away. It tastes perfectly fine, after de-frosting.

Yes spring is here but it does not feel like May weather to me kind of cold out.

Now to start preparing the yard for gardening and cleanup all the debris from winter.

Morning- I had to turn the heat back on The house is just way to chilly!

Enjoying my coffee. Planning my work day. Then pack a bag and head off to my sister's for the night. She already bought our movie tickets online. We are going to an early showtime and then will go back home to her place and have dinner.

My son's friends are back from University. He had met a few of the for golf after work the past 2 days and last night they went out for a few beers. I dropped them all off last night (picked each up at their homes) and then a sister of one of the guys was picking them up and driving them home.
I like to help out when I can The nice thing is I did not hear him come home but when I woke up in the middle of the night I checked my phone and could see he was home from the Ring Cam info. Wish we had that installed back in the teen years!!! (It has been very handy when away on vacation as DS would touch base with my sister and she would advise me and sometimes she would say she didn't hear from him but I could say he was ok and home from work )

Realizing I have 10 days off starting in 2 weeks! Have a tentative plan but will have to finalize the plan. Maybe a frugal road trip Niagara Falls for a few days- Have a free slot play offer at the Casino for $250 for the month of May and free parking. (haven't been in over 2 years and they send these offers now and again) Since healthy eating is number one the cooler would be stocked with food so really it would only be gas and could use hotel points if needed. Lots of walking to explore there so may be a good option. Will have to see!

I got news of my father by my father brother.
He will be in er until Sunday...
I phone him but have not heard him back....
That is odd...
I hope he is ok.


My godmother auntie offered me to go to the public harvest and to the grocery but I declined.
We talk by Facebook Messenger almost daily since my father healths various problems...
I give her updates.My father never call her...That is odd...
We also had a familly private group on Facebook Messenger that I am giving updates too.
I have leftovers vegetarian and hawawien pizzas,ham sandwichs ,cereals, and chicken strips with fries in the freezer.
But good to know she is here.
For after when my father could not make it to the grocery with is 1 month recovery.

By the way I found a $1,00 Saputo coupon for shredded cheese another expiry date and the $1,00 Yoplait 6 packs drink less sugar at Maxi and Cie Wednesday.

I sweep the balcony and brought outside the glass patio table and the chairs.
Washed with Windex and Scott Towell the glass of the patio table.
After lunch,I want to mop the floor.
He is so dirty.
Update: The mop will have to wait for another day.
My auntie godmother just came in for a surprise visit and we chatted a lot.

This morning my father brother said he will be released today and now it is Sunday...
I dont know why and what is going on...

Update: My father call me back.
The leg was not blocked due to is smoking but by the cholesterol...
I am shocked by that fact....
The surgeon scratched it all .
The reason he is not released until Sunday if all the things are okaie it is because he is not strong mobility problem and balance
not able to go to the bathroom alone.
They wil do some exercices to make him more strong.
It would be too dangerous to release him now.
But the surgery was a success.
They opened the leg and he will have a scar.
After I am pretty sure a at home nurse will come for care.

Well we had to buy a new lawnmower 9 yrs the last one lasted ,no i dont care to put it in the shop for repair as that can be$ 80-150 .So off we went last night to canadian tire for the sale used 42.00 in points so that helped a bit.I hope this is it for the big spending we have done the past 2 months .

Hubby helped son with his new hot tub its a hardtop one ,not the soft ones .I did the laundry while the guys worked on putting the hot tub down .Did a few loads for son .We havent watched the girls in weeks . Son is talking his wife out on sat night either to the show or for supper.So we will watch the girls here at our house.

Oh i just read that dove and axe will put their prices up later this year due to the war,time to stock up on that stuff.

Cut the grass for the first time, as it didn't rain. My tax refund has come in and I'm so happy to have direct deposit. My sweet fosters are growing but mama is still very hissy as she is feral. Bought gas at Pioneer and somehow I got 22 cents off a litre, a savings of $9.33 for using my CIBC credit card and Pioneer rewards card.

I deleted all my expired coupons printables and so links since 2021.
I counted less than 15 still valid coupons printables links.
All the others are expired.
I am not a fan of the lack of maintenance of this site.
Most of the promos are on the blog or coupons links in the coupon database.

It could be a good thing if members could delete theirs expired links.

Rescued 3x 800g bags of Reeces Pieces, from the dump.

Had an unfortunate incident at Walmart. As I was walking away in the parking lot, a man came up behind me and started screaming, "Thief!". There were a number of people around, so I thought nothing of it, until I realized that he was accusing me. He was shouting, "He puts things under his shirt and steals!". I took out my bag and wallet and told him that they were mine, but he refused to stop. He kept ranting that "He does it all the time." I asked who told him that and he said that, "the lady inside told me." (The Walmart greeter.)

He refused to stop, even when confronted with the truth. So, we exchanged insults until we were out of range. I thought I would just let it end, since one idiot in a parking lot is inconsequential. However, upon further reflection, I realized that the idiot is the Walmart employee, who was maliciously spreading her lies and defamation. I turned back 2km and walked back into the store to file a formal complaint with the manager.

I wrote out the complaint and asked the attending manager for a response in-kind. He recognized me and knew of my practice of hanging bags around my neck, under my shirt. But everything I take is paid or mine. Had this been a single instance of stupidity, I could have forgiven it and ignored it. However, I don't know how long this woman had been doing this and there is no way she would ever stop, unless forced. More so, she managed to incite one man to nearly act in violence. I don't know if she is racist against Asians or those who look indigineous. She went out of her way to tell a member of the public her lies and spread hate.

I hope that she is fired, though I doubt it very much.
