NoFrills had 14x 410mL cans of Puritan stew for $0.74 and 7x cans of pork 'n beans for $0.94

Also found a jerry can with 3 gallons of gas abandoned in a field. (That's almost $1000 worth of gas!)

I am feeling hopeless and depressed....

    I ask you a question:

How a person could live with $745 per month when she paid $550 in rent a little bit more for bills.

THAT LEFT LESS THAN 100$ PER MONTH FOR GROCERY....

@cath007 , **HUGS*** I am sorry I do not have the answer

I am not sure if there are any other programs that can help, a food bank, community fridge, I have heard of many church opening food banks as well as some schools. Sorry, I am not sure what options are available in Quebec, in your area.

Cath is there not a food bank or a church that helps in Quebec?

Today made chocolate chip cookies ,a few for the girls and a few to freeze for company over the summer.

Oh and i cleaned out a junk drawer this morning ,that felt great .

Rescued 8x sandwiches and wraps, 18x candy bars. 3x rice meal packets from my Shell station.

Stopped at another Shell station and salvaged another 2x sandwiches and 9x pepperoni snack packages.

Found a dog collar on the road. I don't even own a dog, but I can put the strap to some use.

Happy Wednesday! Looks gray and overcast out.

Busy work day then packing up to go away for 2 nights. I have a Summer social fun day for work on Thursday downtown Toronto.
Also wanted to take my mom and sister out for dinner this week for their birthdays that just passed. Meeting them for dinner tonight and then I will either stay the night at one of their places tonight or head down to the city and check in to the hotel for an extra night. I am thinking I would rather just drive down after dinner since the traffic will be less so that is probably my plan....I should book the extra night now.

So today I need to get all the things done! Work. Pack. Gather my bday gifts. Make sure I remember to bring the coffee creamer x 2 I bought for my sister (she can't find it near her) Tidy the kitchen after I make my oatmeal Pop out to Food Basics to grab a few packages of the meat sticks. (hide them in the fridge and put meat drawer as needed- guys will eat the entire package if I let them!)

I was out of town on Monday for the night and topped up the gas tank on the way home Tuesday since it was .10C a L cheaper then home. Not a fan of getting gas in the city (don't like having to pre-pay before filling up) so at least I have an almost full tank leaving town today.

Ok I better get rolling! Enjoy the day!

Popped out to FB and GT.
Found boxed pasta for $1 (expiry date is July 2027) Bought 5 for DS since it said it retained sauce and he would like that.
At GT I bought 4 boxes of the cheap fish on sale for $3. (2 pieces is 240 Calories and 0 sugar so I may even have it one night with a few homemade fries in the air fryer!) It makes for a cheap fish and chip night without the grease! (Not as good but...I have had some bad fish out so this is pretty good)

I used PCO to pay for groceries today, no real deals to be had but I still managed to spend 100.00.
So far I am not impressed with Blue rewards. No that Shell is gone I don’t see any value in keeping their credit card. I am going to wait a month and then decide if I keep using it.
Friends don't let real friends pay full price.
