@walkonby , same for us we always got one with our KFC meals.
Growing up literally in the country on a farm our choices for take-out where KFC, Fish & Chips or Chinese and to feed a large crowd it was always KFC and one of the meal deals.
Plus let's not lie a cake was always better than the merch they would give away although I do still have some in my basement, nanny kept them and when she passed we got them. Plus there might be some from my step-mom as she worked for KFC when her and Dad got married, she was upper level and would get the freebies before they were even in store.2022 is going to be my year, the year I find organization in my life and the year I focus on myself,
follow along as tackle day to day life and whatever else 2021 throws at me:

DH seems pretty much back to normal in less then 2 weeks. We will remove the dressing and send a pic to the surgeon before he phones on Friday. Speaking of chocolate cake he made one this morning and we will take with us when visiting sis today.
I was just researching hotels in Copenhagen for my Baltic cruise next summer. It seems we have plenty of American airmiles I could use after charging DH's hip.
Met with a lovely family last night and may care for their baby in the fall-they pay $30 per hour. I may be dating myself but when I started babysitting paid 50 cents per hour!!

Lizzie ,did you go to the states for your hubby's hip surgery ,or a private clinic?Did he get robotic surgery ?Just curious.
Took hubby's sister to swiss chalet Had 16.00 left on a giftcard ,she thanked me as she is on disability. She is waiting on her deposit on wednesday ,so wings were a nice meal along with fries.

Rescued a single sandwich and a 500mL tub of Ben & Jerry's from my Shell station. It was odd to eat ice cream at 1000h, but food is food.
Found a bunch of dropped cherries in the parking lot of T&T grocery. They looked fine, so I gathered them, took them inside, and washed them before eating. Delicious. My food may not befit a king, but I eat like a horse.

CG-my DH had surgery at a private clinic in Calgary-for 37,000!! Not robotic. He had a lateral incision and he is very fit for 73-hence the rapid recovery I think. We could have had it done cheaper in Toronto or Montreal but my husband did not want to travel.
The cardiology nurse called today to say the cardiologist reviewed my test results and has no cardiac concerns about me-yet out of the blue a few hrs later my heart started to race so back to the doc tomorrow. I just have a sense something is amiss even though they cant figure it out yet.Last edited by lizzie bargain; Yesterday at 06:23 PM.
