What I am so sure my child has said to me many times.

DH and I are hoping to have kids sometime in the near future. He's 100% on board with the idea, but one night he said to me (being totally serious - he was not trying to joke or get a rise out of me)... "You know, I really need my sleep at night; if I don't sleep right, it's really hard for me to go to work and make it through the day. Do you think having kids will affect my sleep?"

LOL! It is so true! Although, every time I start to complain about not getting enough sleep NOW, I remind myself about how much sleep I wasn`t getting back THEN and it makes me feel a little better. I`m so spoiled now that my LO sleeps from 9-5:30 but I never end up going to bed at 9 because I need to unwind and have some me time before bed, so I`m still always grouchy in the morning. Ah well, that`s life. And all those cute smiles and warm hugs and wet kisses more than make up for the lack of sleep.

I hear you, Ashokia. My DS sleeps from 8:30 pm to about 7 am. But like you, I need to work (I am a consultant) and unwind before I go to bed at midnight. I am always tired.
