    Happy mothers day..I was born on mothers day and my birthday falls on mothers day again this year. Going for a mothers day brunch at my cousins..They did a little thing for my birthday last night.

    So very cool that you were born on Mother's Day - how special! It's also my sister's birthday, but she's a lot older than you, born two days after Mother's Day that year.

    I'm missing my mom this Mother's Day, but then, I do every single day...

    My Mom was an amazing woman and had a great life, albeit much too short.
    I was proud to be her 'baby girl', which she called me even as an adult, very endearingly.
    With six kids to raise along with Dad, I can't even come to imagine how difficult it was - from rural and small town life, and on to city life, she gave up a career as a teacher to be a stay at home mom. At this, she excelled!
    The pic in my signature is of her, in the mid-1940s.

    And, of course, I'm very privileged to be a mom myself! This, for me, has been the greatest gift ever - and now I understand why my mom told me, after my son was born, that she was then so very happy all her four girls were mothers.
