I came across this little idea and since I've read other posts over time asking about teachers' gifts, I thought I'd toss this one out to you since it's so easy and inexpensive, yet thoughtful....
What you do, is fill a mason jar, or vase or whatever, cut a piece of fabric to cover the lid and wrap it with pretty ribbon, then fill it with coloured Smarties, and attach a tag that reads:
Green is for the inspiration you give me each day.
Blue is for your patience in showing me the way.
Orange is for your warmth and caring style.
Yellow is for the way you always make me smile.
Red is for my life that you have touched this year.
You place knowledge in my hands, that melt into my heart and live forever!
You're a "Magnificent" & "Marvelous" Teacher! Thank you for being my M!
If you feel you must pick the brown ones out, I'd be willing to take them! This thread is currently associated with: N/A

OR....I found this, too....it would be nice to find small chocolate bars for this, but I'm sure big ones would be just as welcome!
You put chocolate bars, standing up, into a container with this tag:
I SKORed big when I got you for a teacher.
Don't SNICKER, but I think you're great!
You are MOUNDS of fun and you have brought me so much JOY.
I think you ROCK. (pop rocks)
Thanks BEARY much (gummy bears) for always being so JOLLY (jolly ranchers) and for helping me become such a SMARTIE. Teachers like you are worth a MINT. (york peppermint patty)
I'd be a NERD if I didn't thank you for helping me put the PIECES (reeses pieces) of the knowledge puzzle together!
