I find that although things find their way INTO my house, I have a hard time returning things that I mean to.
Well, today I returned:
a desk lamp that I bought for dh but he couldn't use it - About $8.00 cash back
at the 20X points at SDM last Saturday, they overcharged me for 2 shampoo - About $4.16 back on credit card
when my dh went to pick up meds this morning, I thought I had some to be picked up too. The overly enthusiastic new helper dispensed 2 old prescription repeats by mistake. Took them back and got about 20.00 cash back.
I still have to take back about $30 in clothes to Value Village that dh didn't want (I won't shop without him again, because VV will not give a refund - just an exchange.)
So that was a little money coming IN instead of OUT.

nice! I always view these errands as pesky but it just feels so much better when you don't have to keep remembering to do them (because of course, you're like "oh I will just do them later...") and an added bonus for getting money back for you!

avon, I always ask myself " is it worth it to run back there " after I notice the overcharges. I hate wasting the gas and so I decide to wait till I am in the area next week to return it. Then I forget AGAIN! Congrats on your refunds.

UHG, I have a fan that is screaming to be returned to C Tire, but I don't have the box, only the warranty...I am dreading the battle, but it's an 80$ fan who's motor burnt out 3 months after buying it

Whoo hoo! Its always great when they actually will be reasonable about returning things...
I always try to shop for more expensive things at walmart because they a reasonable about returning things - they arn't going to be rude about my returning a baby swing thats motor burned out 2 weeks after buying it etc; I do invest in those little warranties though so that usually helps...I've set up 3 trains.Still loading. If you are interested, links are on my userpage.
No, this isn't your coffee, I had a two for one coupon!

I've never had an issue returning something without the box to CT- as long as I hae the receipt theyve never given a hassle.

WAlmart has great hassle free returns...I do like Canadian tire even more tho-they honour the warranty that the product comes with- Ex my dolce Gusto coffee machine broke a week to before the 1 year manufacturers warranty was up- had the receipt still so I took it back and thye gave me a new one with a new receipt- so I have another year and if it breaks again I can still return it.
