There was a lot of uproar when they were building this. A lot of people thought it was a waste of money. I for one wanted it. Banff has changed so much over the past 35 years that I have been going there, fewer and fewer animals in town. The more people invade, the fewer animals thre are in the area. I say we should build as many bridges in our national parks as we have commercial buildings. The animals were there first.

I haven't been there for 20 years, but it was so cool to walk through the townsite with lots of elk just moseying around!

yeah, that other pics been circulating around facebook like crazy. It was neat seeing all the animal crossings when we drove through there last summer. I'm glad they have a way for them to cross safely and they are not just trapped between fences and sides.
