She scanned the 8000 BP one and handed back the other one saying, "You can use this one next time." I've always used multiple bonus point coupons before?

I ended up using my $3 Peelies instead of my FPCs because I didn't want to risk not getting any points and ended up with about 30K altogether for $61 worth of stuff. Definitely not my best shop.
I called HO on this one a few years back--- you can't get double points on the diapers. So you would need to have spent $40 PLUS the cost of the diapers to get them to validate both coupons.

Did you have to ask them to imput them that way? Or did they do it automatically?

In my transaction I had $50+ already and then threw in a FPC product to test things out. I got 20x the points on everything except the FPC -- I got 0 points on that (but the manager added the points - after I showed him the new coupon policy since it wasn't a lot of points).

A couple of others posted that with the FPC not ringing up the according to the new coupon policy, their balance went down below $50 and they did not get the 20x the points (only base points on everything except the FPC). ETA - I ended going back and doing another transaction and because of my FPCs, I didn't get the points either. I'll be calling SDM on Monday.

I used $60 in FPC's and only got 380 points. My shoppers had no idea there was a new policy or any changes at all. But when I brought up the new policy on the Shopper's FB page the manager added all my bonus points manually. 17180 points altogether.

I read the policy so fast, can someone help me clarify if I can still use the VIB bonus with 20X event?

Silk, I did the same thing, made sure to have $50 plus without coupons, then added 2 FPC's, I asked the cashier if it was ok to use code 2001 on the FPC's so I could get points and pay the tax, she had no issue with it. Obviously I know the entering of the 2001 would be a cashier thing, so I expect one to say no in the future.

it's sad you had to do this. ontario law prohibits taxes on free items.

Its what she did, I didn't ask her to enter them differently. I didn't actually expect to get 20x the points from the FPC so I was quite happy when I got my receipt.

Do you have a source for this? I would love to print it out to show as evidence

Here's the closest I've found - from Canada Revenue Agency. My problem is that it refers specifically to BOGO and while most would say FPCs fall into the same category as the coupons described, it doesn't come right out and refer to FPCs so I don't consider this a bulletproof source...someone please let me know if you've found something referring specifically to FPCs

this isn't quite the policy i was thinking of.

the only reference i have found online is an archived doc for ontario. it varies by province. some provinces do allow for taxes to be charged on free items (i think)

now, the info i have is from an archived document, however everytime i state to cashiers that provincial law prohibits tax on free items, they understand what i am saying. for the life of me, i have not been able to locate a current reference to this issue.

here is the archived link for ontario...

Anisa, I only asked the cashier to enter the FPC's as 2001, cause 2002 wont give you points yet, as noticed from the earlier posts, I wanted the points, the only reason I had even used the few FPC's in the 1st place
