Thanks i have a meeting with my boss at 3pm, and i am ready to let him know how this guy makes me feel. I decided to meet him first as i do not feel comfortable speaking with this guy as i know he can be very intimidating...as i_forget mentioned above...that is how bullies behave

You have to do what you feel comfortable with. Go to your boss and tell him how you feel and what he is doing to you. I hope it works out and I hope this guy stops what he is doing.

Hope your meeting went well. I just wanted to add: make sure you just state the facts and be able to back them up, don't let emotions get in the way. I'm saying this in case this guy is buddies with the boss. Which may be true if he's been able to get away with these shenanigans. It would be really difficult for you to work in that sort of environment later, if you found out you didn't have any support.

well, i spk to my boss and he admitted he was the one asking him to "help with some of large files" so i asked if next time he can send an email to everybody so we know what is going on.... he said to me that i was exagerating a little bit, that he doesn't think this guy is doing it on purpose, but that he will speak to this guy. I feel like i didn't accomplish anything oh well will see if this guy does it again.
At least i spoke to my boss about it. Now my question is should i send an email to my boss in reg to our conversation so i have something documented?

Sorry to hear this keeps happing! If I were you I would talk to your boss again and tell him it is happen again. If your boss does not listen to you, go to his boss and see if something can be done.

Yes people go through hard times, but come on their are people out there that just don't pay their bills.
I totally agree with this statement, some people rack up bills and go into debt without the intent of paying back what they owe.... it takes a strong person to be a bill collector and I commend those folks who work in that industry, must be a tough job! That said, consumers who buy and buy on credit need to curb their spending habits or pay EVERYTHING in cash!

well i don't know what to do anymore...here is the story about what happened yesterday:

the company i work for gets hire by x company to do collections...i have a boss that his boss is the owner of the company i work for... so x company pays us to collect $$$... bottom line is if x comp. send us a file of x amount of $$ we have to collect, so i have a file that is worth $12K x company settled the amount with whoever owes them those $12 for 50%....so far so good? ..... ok so that means x comp. is asking us to collect $6 instead of $12K...and ask us to try to get the bal. from other sources (which is not important at this point) so since the file was getting complicated i went to my boss to ask him what to do....now at this point x company V.P is involved (the big guy)..and other big guys who my boss deals with....so my boss wants me to write a "professional" invoice, and he said "maybe HE (guy i have issues with) canhelp you witht he wording etc" so i said OK...since it was all in the office so everybody heard.... i was ready to seek HIS help and put all our issues aside....

so 30min after my boss said that to me i rcvd an email (i was been copied on) from HIM to x company big boss, my boss and some other people. HE said he came late into the conversation about the file and that he disagrees to the settlement and blah blah blah.....this is what i have an issue with.........
so i read the bottom email that my boss emailed him "if she needs help please assist her"...but HE was not assisting me HE was making decisions on MY file....which i think he should of consult with me...before sending emails to VP, my boss and everybody else........NO??? Now i feel like my boss, VP and everybody else think i cannot do my job, just because HE is good at BS'ing people in a "professional way"

so i emailed my boss asking him to transfer the file over to HIM so he can handle it....my boss emaied me "i asked him to assist you, not you run with it"....i am not sure what this means but bottom line is i don't like when HE gets into my business, maybe i am overreacting which i asked co-workers about it and they think i have all the rights to over react because of my previous issues with HIM....

so i am asking here AM i over reacting or should i speak to my manager again.....

This is where, if I were you, I might have mentioned being hesitant to ask him from what he had done before - sort of give your boss a heads up incase it happened again.

so i emailed my boss asking him to transfer the file over to HIM so he can handle it....my boss emaied me "i asked him to assist you, not you run with it"....i am not sure what this means but bottom line is i don't like when HE gets into my business, maybe i am overreacting which i asked co-workers about it and they think i have all the rights to over react because of my previous issues with HIM....
Not sure how to take that one. Why don't you ask him to clarify and then explain the problems you have had previously. I would avoid sharing with coworkers though. You never know if it will backfire on you later, and this way you come across more professional.

If your boss wanted you to write a professional invoice it makes sense that your boss would want someone to help you with that to eliminate spelling and grammatical errors.

yes, i know since i had issues with this guy in the past....i was willing to ask him for his help, even though i could of gone to other co-workers for help..but i was willing to eat my heart out and seek his help...but noooooo he had to jump before me and make me feel like i can't do my job by sending emails to all the big bosses...THAT is my issue...because if my boss asks me to help someone then i will go to that person and say "ok, this is how i see it, what do you think? " or maybe "lets work the file together, do you agree to this email i will be sending to big bosses?" i dunno but whatever...
