Hi. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if soy and almond milk can be frozen? I bought alot yesterday at 50% off and they expire within the next few days. I know the regular milk freezes well so I figured maybe soy and almond would too. If not, could someone give me any tips on how to use them in a cheap recipe now that can be frozen and eaten later. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Never tried it but it would seem it depends on the brand.
Silk doesn't recommend it - it changes the texture
Natura - says yes but texture may change but just shake it.
I would suggest you look on the companies website and it should be under the FAQsCome on -Join me !

Soy and Almond milk is use to make vegan ice cream, so yes they freeze. Not sure what the result is when you thaw. Why not freeze one container of each for a day or so, thaw and test it before committing to freezing it all.
http://www.infobarrel.com/Can_You_Freeze_Soy_Milk suggests transferring to another container because of the high water content which expands and may burst the container. It can also change the consistency.
I read another blog that suggests making Almond Milk popsicles. If you do that, you could make Almond milk ice cubes in a tray. There are also some nice Almond Milk desserts - think Chinese.Check out my InnovativePassiveIncome.com blog and learn about making money online. or see this collection of 4 best coupon organizing system videos.

As for things you can make with soy/almond milk to freeze and eat...
-vegan cake (http://www.grouprecipes.com/57460/mo...late-cake.html) soy/almond milk instead of water/coffee
-fudge-cicles (http://allrecipes.com/recipe/hasty-chocolate-pudding/) just sub in soy/almond milk for reg. milk
-lots of smoothies!
I use the recipes above all the time

I use soy milk to make mac n cheese and freeze that. I also use it in Cosmic Cookies (http://www.planetorganic.ca/goodfood.../cosmiccookies) and they both freeze really well. I just make extra sauce for the mac and cheese.
I have never frozen an actual container of soy / almond milk, but I have heard it isn't recommend.
Good luck with whatever you make.

About soy milk, is it good for us or bad for us? We have been drinking soy and now Dr. Oz says we should be drinking Coconut milk or Hemp milk. He says that fermeted soy products like tofu are o.k., but not soy milk. I'm so confused?!?!

oh, i am sure soy milk is good in one way or another. Moderation is key that's all. I can't keep up with all of Dr. oz's food suggestions, he gives me a headache, lol.

I freeze almond milk in ice cube trays and add it to smoothies all the time and it is just fine. Never tried freezing the carton to drink.

Honestly, I haven't tried it but I guess it cannot be frozen because the taste and texture might be affected. Just leave it in the chiller not freezing it.
