I`m so mad whenever this happens I want to give up on couponing.

I went to WM today and purchased 4 Glade candles and some nexxus.

When I went to leave all my candles had rung up as 4.xx but were marked with WM's sale 2 for $7.

I went to CS to use SCOP and was told by numerous people that I only got one free and the rest I paid for (which I agreed if the candles were all the same) but ALL of my candles were NOT the same, they were all different scents and had different UPC codes. I ended up refunding all the candles and walking out. The manager wasnt there at the time. They said in the policy and it said nothing about the UPC codes being different

I came home to read the SCOP online and it doesnt say anything about the UPC codes? It only states 'identical items'

Someone correct me if I am wrong???

If they have different UPC's they are not identical items.I have SCOPed three Sunlight dishwashing liquids they had different UPC's and were different scents.

So I`m basically SOL. I was livid, like shaking. The CSM Had NO clue what she was talking about. So i`m like if I had a can of soup with the candle and they were both wrong only one would be free, she says yes.
    LOL wth?

I'm really sorry this happened to you. I too wish that all employees were familiar with their store policies, but we all know that will never happen. It can get frustrating, but don't let it ruin your day. It's only candles, and not worth getting angry or upset over.

Some of the multibuys at Walmart ring in differently now.. recently they had candy that were $3.48 ea or 2 for $5.00. At checkout the candy would show $3.48 on the receipt (and on register display) but when the sale was completed a 'multibuy discount' would apply (-$1.96 in this case) and show on the bottom of the receipt.

Are you sure this wasn't happening in this case?

I was just about to say the same thing. This completely threw me off the first time it happened.
And even if something had a different UPC because it was a different scent I would call that the same item & be happy I got 1 free but that probably is correct because different UPC's would have to scan at the correct price as well. You should call the 1-800 number & make a complaint.
I am currently looking for coupons for non parishable foods or grocery coupons good until December to help with Christmas food helpers.
If you have any to trade please PM me.

Candini, this is what i would do... i would of walk out of store, leave candle in my car and come back in and go grab the other candle and go to a different cashier .. now i don't know if you were in a hurry or not...

Positive. I've had the multi buy before and they didn't change at the bottom. They rang up at 4.68 I believe. I'm going to try to call the manager today, if nothing is done then a complaint to the bureau it is.
