Feeling unloved

We're moving this week so going crazy getting everything packed up and DH is very busy at work. Still no reason to forget my birthday today He didn't even get me a card, said he forgot. I would have believed that excuse had he not gone to a huge mall yesterday to get some work clothes. It's just made me feel so unloved and so unappreciated I told him how I felt and he feels bad but I just want to be mad at him for a while

Not to mention no birthday wishes from any friends on Facebook and no call yet from my best friend. Hate everyone at the moment

Ps my DH forgot mine last year too... It took 5 phone calls from grandmas, aunts mom and sister to make him question why I was getting all these phone calls on a Sunday morning! I rubbed it in for a bit and I don't think he'll forget again!

My sister's fiance last year forgot her birthday. While she thought he was sneakily planning something special he was actually at a friends house having some beers. She got home from work to see he wasn't even there, and could not have been more upset that he forgot.
It always breaks someone's heart when that special day rolls around and it turns out being far from special.

Aww, that sucks. DH and I have birthdays five days apart, so we don't forget each others. We usually plan one thing together for both birthdays.

I think if you need some time to be mad/sad, allow yourself that time. You've told your husband how you feel, and how his forgetfulness made you feel, which is a good step forward - better than keeping it all in while waiting for him to realize what he did wrong.

Happy Birthday and hopes that your facebook page starts filling up with birthday wishes. People are slow to log in on Sundays, I find, but that's still no fun.

I would forget my own except my husband and kids remind me when it's coming. I never forget his since it's the end of the kids' school year and we all plan a big celebration of the two happy events, rolled into one!
