Went to the shoppers 20x the points day. Thought I had everything worked out to pay as little as possible and still get the bonus points. Only problem was the mini wheats rang in at 2 instead of 2.49 like they were supposed to and were advertised and priced on the shelf at. So I was short 1 dollar! Didn't realize until after what had happened. Went back in to see about adjusting but apparently they would have to redeem everything and ring it all back in and try to figure out the coupons that had been put into the till already. I was so angry! But then when i got home I also realized I pulled my b1g1 coupon for the mini wheats instead of the 1 dollar so it was my fault as well. Too much for my brain to handle after working the night before and staying up to shop instead of sleeping

Stuff happens. Don't be angry about. Bigger things in the world to get stressed about.

I always buy a bit more than required...not worth the aggravation to try to get it to the last cent. Stuff happens, learn for next time.

I watch the register like a hawk. The very few times I don't something happens.

Don't worry about loading your stuff in bags and back into the cart, focus on cashier scanning the items and entering the coupons.

Yup, always leave yourself some buffer room, but as its been said, its not the end of the world; you learned something new and life is all about learning.

That has happened to me twice and both times I was short less than a dollar. I agree with the other people who buy extra to make sure they hit the minimum.

Ask the cashier to hit the threshold button (after redeeming coupons) and it will show you the amount you are at for the current promotion! So simple and much easier to add a buck or two worth of product then refund and repurchase.

Call Shoppers customer service and explain what happened. I bet they give you the points. And next time, like everybody else says, plan to be a dollar or two over and ask the cashier to confirm you qualify for the points before you pay.

I too always watch the register closely, and purchase a dollar of 2 more than is required. This type of thing has been posted about before and it's a shame. You should have had them redo it, they didn't really need to pull all the coupons, they could have gone off the receipt you had, and you could have just added a package of gum or something small to put you over.
