Great job thriftygranny. We should get together sometime to donate together. I read your post about the lunch program for loaves and fishes. I donate there at the back door for the Men's shelter (razors, shampoo, deoderant, soap etc). Where do I go when school starts to donate lunch items? Also do you volunteer? I would love to but need someone to go with me my first few times. Littlest one is in grade 1 this fall. I know I am suppose to work full-time but I think I could work less and donate my time more. My greatest compliment so far is hearing my kids grumble "Mom why do you have to give so much stuff away". LOL. Too bad they don't know that's a compliment

I wrote in the brag section what I already sent to the Food bank via Vacation bible school for the kids. But I am inspired to still fulfill the $10. I am hoping for the Nestea cases. I already bought the first case for me. So any others I get will be free with the coupon. Hope they take that. Anyway off camping but when I get back I hope to find some great deals.

Have fun camping and I think getting together would be great. I have a neighbour that donated hours of her time at loaves and fishes so I will ask her about how we go about it. My husband and i have only made cash donations so I am not sure how they want tangible items.

Just updated our list to post # 51 in the tea room and #20 in the bragging room. Everyone here is doing such a fabulous job. So many hungry people will be fed due to you all. Thank you so very much for all your generosity. We still have 6 days left

4 cans tomato sauce
3 cans of beans
2 packages pasta
1 large box of cereal
...plus a piece or two of fruit from my own shopping for the folks panhandling outside the grocery store!

I delivered the things I promised plus 12 cans of nestea today to the Salvation Army Food Bank. They were very thankful. I'm thankful to YOU Holly!
