When I bought my second case and nothing else at IGA, cashier called manager because it was tax free and paid no deposit. So zero OOP. Same thing at Super C. Had to question it because it was totally free. Next time, going to buy something with it so it's not as noticeable.

I found this and a few other comments regarding paying no deposit fee odd...technically you could then make money on it if you then returned all the cans after use. I didn't really question it until I took another look at my coupons after I bought another case of course! : ) And it clearly states on the second line in brackets "not including any applicable deposits" . So we all should be paying deposits...here in BC I don't know any store that does not charge a deposit or recycle fee.

In Quebec, some stores will charge deposit and some don't. I found a couple stores that don't charge deposit so I make 60 cents for every free case of Nestea when I return cans.

    I love free money.

Got 6 more, 3 of them with deposit, and 3 of them no deposit.

    Made 1.80 today.

I am up to 4 cases now. And my total is .94 so far. I hope I can get more and eventually make it free maybe? Depends on whether they charge deposit. The last place I was at she was going to take the deposit off and I said no I have to pay for that but you need to include the tax. So I am getting smarter. Hope to use an FPC on 15% off day (first tuesday of the month) and that should help take my .94 down

I only have 4 cases but someone mentioned using them for Halloween. I think if I can get enough that's what I'll do. Give out a can of Nestea and some little chocolate bars or something. Cheap treats. I think I would need to get 10 cases though. Enough for the summer and Halloween. I am off to shop

This hasn't been a money maker for me because I'm in Ontario. I will say that the No Frills store in Welland has run out of all the boxes with the coupon. I went today with three of them and only used two. So now on the lookout for a case with the coupon to get more. But I did end up with 10 free cases. Should keep us going for a few weeks the way we drink it. lol

What do you do with the cans if you can't get money back? Put them in the recycling bin? What about coke/pepsi cans?

In Quebec, we have machines in all grocery stores. You put your cans/bottles in a hole one at a time, machines crushes it, and when you're finished, you push a button and a receipt comes out. Take the receipt to CS and she will give you money.

I would prefer the Ontario way. Don't pay for deposit, don't have to store bags of cans/bottles in garage. Don't have to take to grocery store and wait in line to use machine. Don't get my hands all sticky from cans. Mourelatos made me remove the caps from bottles so some liquids got on my clothes so I don't go there anymore to return deposit.
