Refill your refill and save

Just a quick tip for SCer's to save cash. Instead of buying the small refills( which I have seen for up to $7.00ea)for the Lysol no-touch system, just refill them! Get a large refill container of your prefered soap(I use Softsoap), then insert a butter knife under the used refill cap( in the middle), apply upward pressure until the lid pops off. Fill with soap, replace lid and put back into the dispenser. Clean times saving cash!!

i pry it off at the sides, where the lid actually snaps in place.

i pry up on side a little, then the other side. i found that prying up in the middle stressed the plastic a little. i was afraid of messing it up.

i am sure a lot of us have been doing this for about a year now, and still using the one original bottle! they do last a long time

Yep, worked like a charm..until the darn thing decided on its own to squirt whenever it felt like it, or squirt a bunch of times when we asked for only 1 squirt.....dumped the thing. Grr.

An even easier way, I waited until mine was completely empty, took a power drill and dripped a tiny hole, and then a larger one the size of a dime, covered with clear tape. Easy to refill now. I almost cut my hand using the other method. This way is easier for me and you can't notice the holes unless you look for them.

Well when mine did that, it was because the senzor next to the dispensing hole had gotten gummed up with soap. Cleaned it up and was good as new.

...I just thought it was having a temper tantrum and dumped it into the garbage....hehehe...To tell the truth, I was never a fan of it for some reason...maybe I was just waiting for an excuse to send it on its way...

If anyone has a wetjet, submerge the cap of a refill in boiling water for a few seconds (don't touch the bottom of the pot) and then twist off with a towel or oven mitt. The plastic becomes pliable and you can screw the top off easily when it's warm.

Fill with vinegar and water, hand sanitizer mixed into water, diluted mr clean, or whatever. Anything goes, whatever you use.
