Hopefully you can get on line easier as time goes by Wolfie, glad you got through the first day!

That new contest sounds good I'd like to win the one to the Soo! Was just looking onto taking that Agawa Train trip for a day, but it takes sooo long to drive up there! Been thinking about doing it for a couple of years. Getting free Porter air fare would certainly help. Anyone been on the trip

    Oh...
Since I am in Close-Proximity with Co-W*rkers, I may not be Online as much for a little while.
Also, no Radio or Q107... until I get a Desk.

I had a feeling we would be missing our Wolf for a while, what with the new job and everything.

Yes it sounds like it would be nice. The train trip leaves about 7:30 a.m. and comes back around 6 p.m. Was looking into booking it for the fall colors but then noticed it takes about 8 hours to drive there!!! I was thinking around 5 but if it's 8 that's a little much. This contest would help a great deal and it's right when I was thinking of going!!! Wish me luck!!! Actually I'll wish myself luck too!....

    • What happens at the end of Return of the King? How does Death of a Salesman work out? What was the whole point of Saving Private Ryan? Oh, and what was the one with Tom Hanks playing the guy with sinus congestion who complains to the waiter that "The fish is cold"?

The new trips sound cool, and good luck to all. I will not be entering so your chances just got a teeny bit better. I'll be out of the country from later this week until late October. Please behave yourselves and that goes especially for you Loocie! I may be a couple of continents away but I have spies.

Sudbury. NASA's training ground. Our claim to fame LOL.

    NASA Astronauts Visit Sudbury

In the early 1970s, NASA sent several of their astronauts to Sudbury to study the Astrobleme Theory, which was theorized in 1962 and means "Star Wound". The theory stated the Sudbury Basin was formed by a massive meteor impact. One important reason the astronauts were here was to visually recognize and study shatter cones.
However, the news media decided, there was a more colorful angle to the story. They theorized, the astronauts had really come to Sudbury for training exercises, because the barren rocks resembled the moonscape. Well, that's what they reported and Sudbury was haunted by a false image problem, which still lingers to this day some 40 years later.
Nasa actually sent some of their astronauts to the Meteor Crater and the Sunset Crater in Arizona for training, because that area closely resembles what the astronauts were going to encounter on the moon.
