On the confession threme regarding cat folk - I have more than enough as well and I always end up looking at pictures on kijiji or shelters and then getting a broken heart when I know I really can't get them.

There are many people on this forum that would be close to the crazy cat lady... the only thing stopping me is that half were my fiance's and half were mine, LOL.

I can't even blame my BF anymore, we started with all his, but they were older and have all passed on. Now they are all ours (well I kinda brought Quincy home when he was away for work)

I once fostered a mom with 6 kittens AND a feral cat and we had 4 of our own at the time - that was crazy cat lady. I will never foster that many again. Those kittens were a nightmare

Yes they could, uneven numbers don't work well with cats, they like pairs. Currently the two boys pick on the female cat, but Quincy is getting tired of his rambunctious little brother. So hopefully it would be a buddy for him and Quincy can retire to a quieter life.

He locked himself in his carrier yesterday to get away from him... poor Quincy

There isn't, apart from my BF is away and may kill me if I bring another one home without letting him help pick it.
Plus I have this dream kitten in my mind, I always wanted a red/orange long haired Maine Coon and we have a local breeder. But after volunteering for animal shelters, I always bring home a rescue cat and not always the most adoptable ones.

We have had a 30lb 9 year old with diabetes and cancer, a feral (who stayed after fostering her bc she trusts me) etc. Quincy was my first 'I just want him' cat. The 30lb one had recently passed away and I was lonely so brought him home. Then Roo was found as a tiny orphan by MortgageQueen.

He thinks if I want this dream kitten, I should get it and not a cat that smacks me on the back of the head as I walk by it in a pet store (the rescue adopts from there)
