random question about tasks. Have you registered with crowdflower? or do you just do whatever tasks that show up without? Just wondering. I read something that the more accurate you are they give you better tasks or something? Not sure if that matters if I'm registered with them or not.

Hey steen - I did register with CF dashboard a few months ago and to be honest it doesn't make a bit o' difference in my opinion. All it does it gives yourself a percentage as to how accurate you are over time and even that is not accurate since it is updated not in real time. You get "badges" which does not really give you much. I think it takes a LONG LONG time to get qualified for "special" tasks.( meaning accuracy has to be up there and have to be doing tasks for a LONG time) I don't qualify for special tasks and I do fine.
It's up to you - but IMO it's meaningless to me.

I believe that you don't have to register on the CF dashboard to be able to contact support if you need to. The support team can be very frustrating but did help me a great deal on one occasion regarding task issues on my account.


Have to add: CF can track you and your work by your Contributor ID so I don't see why they would need a "dashboard" to track your progress???

I read your question again steen - and the tasks I get are the same as everyone else - whether they are registered or not.

These days they pretty much force you to contact them on that forum to get any help with tasks. I am still trying to get them to fix one task that they keep reloading that I have been locked out of for over 6 weeks for giving the right answers (answers plagarized but I am told they are good answers). They had it marked as solved because the task was gone when they checked it.

I had emailed them about this issue 3 weeks in and 5 weeks in and they just direct me to the forum.
