Lauren White, 29, of Los Angeles, a hugh Rolling Stones fan, stumbled on a chache of Rolling Stones pictures on one of her jaunts to garage sales. I was at a flea market and this guy came up to me and said: You look like someone who likes rock n roll she said. I looked into this box and I could see Mick Jagger and I knew this was something big! Anyways, she paid $100 for them. They are now on exhibit in a gallery.

shame on me... Today was my first attempt of making borscht soup - but it turned out really good... My mom used to make it all the time and it is one of my favorite Ukrainian foods - next to vereniki (Ukrainian perogies) and holubtsi (cabbage rolls....) heck, I think I like all Ukrainian food and it's been so long since I've had any home made favorites...

My son made a comment the other day about wanting some and I had no idea he even liked it!!! Hopefully it passes his taste test!!!

Hope everyone enjoyed their day.

The Spoons played their little hearts out...but only for a half hour. There were several acts on, so each only had a short time to play. On the plus side, the last time I saw The Spoons (more years ago than I care to admit ) I spent several hours on the cold bench at Ontario Place, a blanket spread out to save seats for friends who came long after I arrived. This time, I sat down 10 minutes before the show in a comfy chair with a perfect view. How times have changed. Then again, last time I paid $12 for the concert, this time I paid $8. So much for inflation.

I'm off to bed - critters are already asleep.
