Sorry if you were insulted by the word "stupid". Maybe I should have used a different word. Yes I agree, smarter than SDM marketing in terms of understanding the promo, but really really "unsmart" for bragging about it, especially on the Shoppers Drug Mart Facebook page!!!!!!! Look what happens when there is "open dialogue" to discuss the promos. Nobody benefits because the promos are changed / killed.

Shoppers Drug Mart
Hi everyone, on page 8 of the Shoppers Drug Mart® Flyer in effect from Saturday, November 3 to Friday, November 9, 2012, the advertisement for the Jamieson FluShield Softgels 20’s should read ‘500 Bonus Points’, not ‘9000 Bonus Points’ as incorrectly printed in the Flyer.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause.

i had a feeling.. but how do you make a mistake printing a 9 instead of a 5 when they are opposite sides of the keyboard and add an extra by accident?? very odd.

I'm sure flyers are printed well before hand, and I'm sure SDM has people trolling through groups like this and stuff gets brought to their attention. At least it was changed before the sale starts, and not midway through

Yeah it says 9000 on the e-flyer but when you actually put your mouse over the item, it says 500 points

Hahaha, I'm glad I read this before I planned to get up super early tomorrow lol! Mistakes happen, yes, but Shoppers seems to make them CONSTANTLY, so I highly doubt that they are just "oops, we made a mistake!!".

I wonder how many people will buy the product without knowing the points were lowered. SDM is especially good at signage in their stores.
Just joined Kiva.org, an organization that funds micro-loans to people in developing countries. I love the idea that the $25 I saved in groceries can be given to a fish woman with 5 children in the Philippines to help grow her business.
