Yesterday, I registered for an optimum card on the SDM website and I printed the temporary card. I went today to sdm with the temporary card to exchange it for a real one. They did it, but the cashier wasnt too sure how to do it.....He said it worked......Back home, I try to check the balance of points on the card, but I couldnt have access to my account....I only have access to the temporary card account, that was suppose to be replace by the new card...
I tried to transfer 1 points to the new card and it worked..but I still cant have access the new card account
Any ideas? This thread is currently associated with: Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

I think they only really get processed at the end of the day at closing, when they enter in all of the new cards given out. I agree with ottawa, I wouldn't start worrying until tomorrow.

It usually takes 3-4 weeks till you can access your account online! Don't worry. They need to send all info to head office though!

This can take some time like even a few months or more. I asked the same question a while back and was told I could call them to get it done sooner. It was for my daughters card. We didn't bother calling but it got done all by itself but it did take about 3 months. Just call them in the next few days.

Email them and give your info like address, birthday and the problem you encountered, they will update it immediately, and you will be able to access it. That happened to my mom and husband's account.

My boyfriend tried to activate his card like that too, and the cashier had no idea what she was doing. That was last fall and we were never able to access his account even a couple months later... makes me wonder if I should see if we still have the card and see if it works now!

Usually takes 2 weeks to see your account online. Call customer service after 2 weeks.

A friend got a new car at the beginning of Sept and its not activated online yet, they are very behind in doing them. The guy explained that the stores batch them and when they have a certain amount, mail the forms to HO then they are queued for processing there. So if you get a card at a quiet store, it could take a lot longer than a busier store where they have more signups
