Day 9 I got gorgeous purple (my fav color!) personalized mailing addresses from Pumpkin! LOVE them! :D

Found my prezzies! Day 8 and 9 for me were bamboo knitting needles (perfect! Thanks Soo much!) and silicone spatulas. Very timely as I was able to unpack them and out them straight into their new home! Munchkin's gift today was a pack of baby wash cloths! I'm now realizing that having a baby in a house on 2 floors is going to require stuff in multiple spaces for when I'm too lazy to haul my a$$ upstairs! Change station & washcloths are on the top of the list for an upstairs and downstairs supply!

I know the feeling! I was waiting for Wendy to get her book today and see if it's as good as she hoped it would be!

ok was a busy day and am finally sitting down.

Day 4 was for my son devin..........and he got coupons for free fries, ice cream and a drink for mcdonalds. he is so excited!!! thanks so much wendy. you made his day!!!

Check out the quirk wall at chapters or hmv's books. They have some seriously funny books that would be enjoyable by anyone with a sense of humor. Don got a book last year tyrough his work exchange...something about punching a dolphin in the nose...it gets people laughing all the time.

'5 good reasons for punching a dolphin in the nose' by 'the oatmeal' or something like that? He highlyrecommends it for a secret Santa gift type thing. It's also primarily pictures so....

Day 5 for me was a lovely candy dish. thanks Bear 25! First order of business was to put candy in it, second order of business. eat the candy. Repeat.

Im about to break into great grandma's Christmas gift (turtles). I need some chocolate, stat! Wendy, please keep your little 'factoids' about the effects this Chocolatey heaven is going to have on my a$$ and impending saddlebags..hmmm...perhaps I should go upstairs every time I need to change these explosive diapers! Lol

Day 1-A cool Nintendo DS game -Puzzles for the mind type thing. I think I will be trying this out myself.

Missie - where did you get these hockey stick candy canes? I'd love to get some for DH's baby brothers. They're 14 & 16 (his dad's second marriage so almost 20 yrs younger than us!) and they play hockey (of course they do! They're from the Soo! Lol). The one plays aaa though which is apparently a big deal?)

This morning I got treated to book 1 in the 50 shades of grey series! oohlala! off to lock myself in the laundry room with the washing machine

Phew! Party is over, Jackson said it was the best birthday he's ever been to It was all family so a little tame I'm sure. My sister made a digger cake. Big gift was the Leappad I bought him... did you know they need batteries? Won't be trying it out until tomorrow I guess. Oh well! He had fun, my parent's didn't make any comments on the house keeping, and everyone will be back in two weeks or so for Christmas. I'm tired but there's no naps on weekends any more... my big boy

Canada post just dropped off 2 parcels! ON A SUNDAY! one is from my mommy :D and the other from my mini train buddy for sure this time! (Diamond Lil) some great items in both parcels
from my mini buddy a great holiday box with mittens, earrings, candycanes, mini reeses cups(hubby destroyed these already), chapsticks....awesome! thank you so much

Last night was my one and only evening out with hubby with no kids of the entire 2012 year! I got spruced up and this is what the result was (no yoga pants or hair scrunchies!)

so if anyone is looking for a little boost to their hubbies helping out.. watch the movie on strike for christmas i think it was this afternoon.. watched it with my family...(preface to this. i asked hubby this morning to run me to 3 stores real quick. he says later u can borrow the car but hurry its going to freezing rain) thanks... so while watching the movie hubby says well are you going you better hurry up.. by the end of the movie. he winks and says did you still need a ride.. hehe.. sure hun .. off to run in the shower.. then i get out. and best prezzie.. hubby and the boys cleaned up my dining room.. all records and junk is back downstairs. YES!.. i gave him the biggest hug ever.. psst i kinda know a little secret.. so i've been an extra good wife.. and in return without him knowing he's been extra nice to me.. anyway.. thats my evening so far.

It does NOT appear that diamondLil is my little buddy as she only has a traderating of 6 which doesn't qualify her for this train....<quickly checks list of riders to confirm> W.T.H. ? I was initially twigged by the fact that there was no homemade items but thought what the heck not everyone can do homemade. Who is this trader and why has she sent me this wonderful gift?

Wendyjane.. i lost 10 back in July.. pftt it was supposed to be 30 by christmas.. well that went out the window when we went to a local fair in town.. then one thing led to another.. thankfully i haven't gain back the 10 but ..maybe next year i can get back into it.. as i sit her eating a chocolate covered marshmallow
