I just got a 2004 Cadillac Deville with low kms formally owned by some Gamma McGee somewhere. Cheap!

I went to a dealer, told him what I wanted, how little I was willing to spend, pulled out a wad of cahs and asked him if he could get what I need. He did wtihin 24 hours from different dealer and had it brought in for me to take hiome.

Did not know dealers could swap with other dealers like that . NOw I know. Saved some time and money. I am happy. Big car... I need room!

Despite what they say cash is a definite motivator. When we bought my car in the spring they tried to act like it was no big deal when we told them we would be paying in full (with a certified cheque) before we took the car off the lot.

I'd think at this time of the year would also be a great time to be buying a big ticket item what with people wanting extra commision for the season.

That is so wonderful to hear that some one got a great deal on a used car . Good for you op . I have been trying for months now to get a cheap used car but either they are manual or have too many miles on or have major damage. May be time to give up or rob a bank and just get a brand new one . I don't find used car dealers very helpful and they rather seem asking for more for me being a gal when I go in person. Any suggestions? I am in Edmonton.

Suggestion? FInd out who is the best used dealer in town, visit them, tell them what you want, and how much you are willing to pay.

You want a vehicle what has been inspected and has a carfax report.

They will find you one. especially during the slow season.
