So he goes away on vacation. Why is this a big deal? David Miller used to go on tons of vacations and the taxpayer paid for it. Did't see anyone give him grief. Are people so high on hating Ford that they will pick on him going on a vacation? You do know he is entitled to a holiday right?

I'm guessing that he'll be in an area where he can get phone/internet/tv access. It's not like he's totally out of contact should he be needed for some reason.
When President Obama went to Hawai'i a couple of years ago, there was a lot of people complaining about how he could run America from a different country and how he could be contacted if a major disaster struck the USA..
Short answer : no Long answer : NOOOOOOOOOOO!

yup..Since he was born there and every-one knows( and is covering up) that President Omaba isn't a natural born American.
makes you wonder sometimes..
Mind you other presidents and senior political figures have managed to run the country will travelling on state visits and the like, so why would a holiday be any different.

I voted for him cause he was the best of a very bad lot. Of the 5 top candidates, it was like scraping the sludge from the bottom of the barrel. Candidate 1 had questionable ties but was bright enough - dropped out of the running. Candidate 2 said some really really dumb things then thankfully dropped out. Candidate 3 was questionable and none too bright. Candidate 4 was abusive to his staff (I have first-hand knowledge of this) and had ties to scandals. Then there was Ford. Who would you have voted for?

I have really questionable local politicians - CBC refuses to say anything negative about any of them (one got a sweet deal on some real estate but none of the mainstream press is willing to dig into this - the same politician signed a multi-year deal which cost the city $$$ to get out of - the excuse given was that the politico didn't read the document
). Unfortunately, the media has a bias - it's the same as when a Border Collie nipping someone becomes a "pitbull attack" (idiots were showing clips of a happy-go-lucky fluffy BC pup which they identified as a vicious pitbull).
Maybe Santa will bring lumps of coal to the wannabe journalists who have forgotten the concept of ethics.
