Dollars & Cents Coupon Scan 2013!!!

My experience is that even if it's same chain, the coupon may not actually be at my local store - sometimes it's becuase the store rolls them out at a different date, sometimes it's just never there (e.g. mcminsen found a lot of great coupons at IGA, but i pretty much never had any luck in the ones that I go to). not everyone have the time to check all the time, and that's why we help each other by trading!

I don't know if this is particularly useful though. Often I ask a Scer where they get a coupon privately, via message, and they say Safeway. I go to Safeways in my area and nothing. Then I see it at Save On Foods, or vice versa.

Maybe we could say that it was found at a grocery store, or a store part of the Overwaitea group, etc. because quite honestly, I'm from a small corner of BC with LOTS of aggressive couponers that DO strip tearpads and then I see them going up on local tradegroups on Facebook or here.

(There is one SCer in particular from my neighbourhood that is notorious for doing this, she's a lurker, not an active contributer, but she goes around taking nearly entire tearpads from the two grocery stores in my area and puts them up for trade in a coupon group she's created on FB - that I lurk, so I can get one step ahead of her and grab some tearpads for ME! It's a stupid vicious cycle. We've exchanged words about it before, and doesn't care that I'm outting her because she'll have choice words for those that disagree with her actions.)

Is anyone else having real trouble taking a coupon off a tear pad? They have these new circle thingies that look like buttons that hold them in place and even if I want ONE coupon it comes off ripped and quite often will tear the expiry date off. It really sucks. I understand why they have them, so that people can't just take the whole thing but at the same time you can't even get one anymore. Its really disheartening and makes me not even want to go out coupon hunting anymore since I can't even get one let alone a few off.

sorry I just assumed everyone knew where the Royale coupon came from and the John Frieda coupon I forgot to add as it was mentioned in the 2012 post where I had found it I don't mind telling but sometimes I really don't know - I have a few people in my family that look for coupons while they are out and they just appear in my mailbox

will try my best - but like I said last year it is not manditory for people to post what store it comes from and I can't force people to do so

You know Peachy the only thing I really want you to change this year is to give us an idea where the coupon came from. Posting coupons is really helpful, but if I don't know where I can find it, it's not helping me much. Please folks just don't start telling me that you're afraid of hoarders cleaning all the tear-pads in your area. Doesn't matter if you post where you found that particular coupon or you don't, they WILL find it even ahead of you. But by not posting where you find a coupon, you're not leaving even a single chance for those of us who is working full time, studying, or just busy with our own lives to get those coupons. Not everyone could drive across the city checking every store to find just one coupon he or she wants. When a similar thread was started some years ago, it was clearly said in guidelines, please post where you found the coupon.
