Going to try the one in town today. Hopefully that the cold weather has kept people in and there may be one or two left. I love getting these for my mum to give stuff to her grandkids

ty ty ty! just picked up most of the bags left at Gatineau, qc location. Some were great and other bags had 3 baskets in the bag, great deal if you were gonna spend 20$ per piece at xmas time but for me it was an alright grab. 98% of the bags were xmas stuff.

^^ Same here. It was pretty much all Xmas stuff. I picked up 4 bags but haven't opened them yet. I could see a lot of ribbon inside so its worth it right there for the price.

I agree with you Melissa!
Saw the boxes, one was opened and I peaked (even thought the sign said no peaking, LOL) and it was Christmas decor stuff and picks. Not what I want/need.
I grabbed four bags - have to open them, will take a pic too.
Thanks for the heads' up!!

I work with low income families who never have enough money for decorations and "extra" things so they are great donation items for them. if any of you get those things in your bags and don't want them, maybe see if some of the local shelters or income assistance offices would use it! great finds everyone!

Went to Michaels today and didn't find them
. This thread is the first time I'm hearing about these grab bags, and I'm wondering what they even look like and if I didn't even notice them at the store today lol. What do they look like? Are they in a specific area in the store? A special sign? Hmm the possibilities...

i went to the branch by Yonge and Hillcrest this morning and i asked about the $2 grab bag, the cashier pointed to a bunch of Xmas wreaths which had a sign that says $2 grab bag. it wasn't even in a bag. $2 for a wreath isn't a good deal to me. how disappointing! this is also my first time hearing about this grab bag.

At the location I went to they were sitting right by the cashier section in a bin. It's just a couple of Michael's plastic bags (the big ones) stuffed with goodies inside. There was a sign that said "Grab Bags $2".
There were only a few left at the location I visited and all of them seemed to be Christmas specific (I was able to peak inside), so I didn't grab any, but good find for those looking for decorations for cheap.

There were no grab bags at the Whitby, ON location.

The Newton location (KGH) had boxes right at the entrance when you walked in (about 25-30) and a bin full of Michaels' plastic bags (double bagged) and labelled $2 grab bags.
Thanks for the tip about the Christmas decor. I still haven't opened up my bags - will do so tonight - and I will donate extras! Had no idea they would be in demand!
