No.
Not against winning money, but I firmly believe money can be a curse. My step mother is the single most angry bitter woman in the world... Yet stinking rich. Brother had everything taken by his ex wife.... Happiest dude I know!

I play 6/49 like 4 times a year and the closes I got to getting the 6 was once when I played 3 games and in each game I had 2 of the right numbers, all 6 matching the exact 6 needed. Why didn't I get all of them in one play? Ehh

Good question OP. Hmmm. Do couponers play the lottery?
Do you play your Provincial Lottery?
Up to November 2012, yes
Why or why not?
1. New Year's resolution = No more lotteries. Instead, save small pennies and the bigger amounts will follow.
2. Focus on paying down bills and not living in a fantasy world.
3. If I won, the enemy of my enemy would become my friend. My life would not be my own. I could not walk down the street without being stopped.
4. Lottery winners lose most in the first year.
Have you ever won?
Yes. In 2012, won 4/5 times. Always the amount of the ticket or a little more. When I won $20 (biggest win), $7 to charity, $7 to savings, $6 spent. Never spend winning on more tickets. Take cash money only.

I won $20 on a scratch ticket my dad got me as a Christmas present. I used $3 of that money towards a 649 ticket (from the same store he bought the scratch ticket) and won $2 on that ticket so put $1 with it and bought another ticket (different store)...and there ends the winning streak LOL! I said I would play as long as I was winning but that was short lived...
I do play occasionally though...I know I have a greater chance of being shot or struck by lightening, but it's fun sometimes to think about what you could do with that kind of money...I will more than likely be playing in Feb because they have the additional 100,000 prizes and that would make a fantastic birthday present if I could manage to win...I would cover my sisters expenses and parents to come stay with me for my birthday weekend and then pay off school debt and save the rest!

Great answers! I suppose I should answer for myself.
I do play the lottery - more so scratch cards than actual lottery.
I work retail and there is a convenience store adjacent of my store so I always see the newest tickets that come out. (So tempting)
I usually win my money back or a bit more. Not all of the time.
Last week I played a $2 Mega dice ticket and won $25. I think thats the most I`ve ever won lol.

No. Never have, never will. My money stays in the bank. I'd love some of those people who spend money on those "chances" of winning to calculate their spending over the years, and get that calculated, and rolled-over, over the next 10 years, and THEN tell me it's worth it. LOL!!!
