Had been wanting the actifry for a while, but was just too expensive.
This weekend Canadian Tire had 10x the Canadian Tire money back, and I had a $50 off the T-fal Actifry when you use your CT Options MasterCard.
So here's what I did:
price match to Walmart @$198.77
-$50
= $174.61 with the tax.
But!
Because of the price match and 10x, I got back $38.05 in CT money.
So I essentially got it for $136.56
Still expensive, but very pleased. This thread is currently associated with: Canadian Tire, Walmart

Good deal! Let us know how you like it.
The lowest I've ever seen it is just under 190, so that's still an awesome deal!

Nice deal. Smart price matching. Love it when people find new ways to price match to their advantage. Now can we all come over for fresh French Fries?

Wow that is like a Thriller story. You wanted, you waited(Bam), CT Card for 50.00 (Bam), PM/WM(Bam), and just when you think wow she is genius, you end it with you getting CT money back !(WAMO). Crafty-I like it!!!
The SC pros must be reading in awe and pride but not as much as a newbie like me. Wow, thank you for sharing, that is a teacheable lesson for me. Thank you for sharing. My DH will be jealous, he wants one too. Enjoy.

All we've done so far are frozen wedges from M&Ms and frozen onion rings.
The wedges turned out great, even though they looked a little burnt.
The onion rings came out soft and a lot of the batter got knocked off by the paddle. So, it's a no go for onion rings.
The other downside is that it takes much longer than deep frying.
But considering we'd given up on deep frying because it's such a hassle -take it out, fill it with oil, empty it, try to get it clean- this is so much better!

I have heard about the actifry but am skeptical about the claims that you only need 1 tbsp of oil. Would love to hear some reviews from smartcanuckers!
