Anybody ever eaten them? A coworker was talking about the fact that she has ducks, and mentioned that they eat the eggs. I had never eaten one, and she offered to bring me some sometime. She followed through today, brought me three, I'm going to try one for breakfast tomorrow. She says they taste very much like chicken eggs.

Duck eggs are great- much richer than chicken eggs and their yolk is more vibrant!
They apparently have double the nutritional values and are loaded with Omega3's.
The liquid innards are thicker than chicken eggs, espeiclaly when fresh.
I enjoy salted/preserved duck eggs- I grew up with them.
You're lucky to have such a sharing co-worker and she's lucky to have ducks!

Well we ate them this morning. Nothing leathery about the shell, looked and felt just like a normal chicken egg although a bit darker in colour. The shell was harder to crack too. I found that the yolk in my over-easy egg was maybe a bit thicker, but if I didn't know it was a duck egg on my plate i probably wouldn't have noticed the difference. Tasted fine!
