Ugh. Very deflated. Cannot get the snow blower started. Called DH and he's now trying to find someone to come do the driveway.

His brother is snowed in himself, now I'm just hoping his uncle can come since he runs a side business clearing driveways.

Just hate that I can't do it myself. Very frustrated.

I feel for you. It sucks when a person wants to be independent and do stuff yourself, then a stupid machine stands in your way It's probably really cold, even my dh used to have problems with a snow blower when the temps dipped. Hopefully someone can get you plowed out. It makes it so much worse when people walk across the snow, it melts and gets packed down into ice, ugh!

I live in Timmins and it`s cold right now but next few days will be down right warm lol. and not much snow here right now not like out east.

Well -1 -4 -8 way better than the -30's we have been getting and those -30's have been mid day not late at night or early morning.

Off to bed..got home from work at 7.20am and its time.

Suck It Snowblower!

Snowblower = 0, Me =1

So, apparently no one could come until tomorrow or Monday so I decided I wasn't going to let the snowblower beat me.

I started trying just before 7am and I FINALLY got it started and did the whole drive way. It's almost been 4 hours but it's DONE and I did ALL myself.

my inlaws have a farm up by north bay and i remember 1 year going up at christmas and it being -50. our poor dog could barely put her feet down to go pee we had to put socks on her so she could go outside.
much warmer here today, spent 2 hours outside yesterday cleaning the driveway in the afternoon with DH when he came home from work. he did ours, the lady next door and the lady diagonally across from us. i gave him a big fat kiss for being so sweet.

today when we came back from gymnastics it took about 15 mins to shovel what came down overnight.

i gotta vent this...
this morning at gymnastics the toddlers were lining up on the long trampoline. kids were waiting their turns while the 1 in front did their thing down the trampoline. this 1 mother (who ive been getting bad vibes from for a couple weeks now) let her daughter barge infront of my daughter and the little girl infront of my daughter. the mother looked at me and with a smirk said 'my daughter's a but-er'. uh...you're okay with that? i get that their toddlers, and they have a mind of their own (believe me i couldnt get that MORE) HOWEVER! now is the time to teach them paitence, waiting their turn, sharing, respect...all of those things we want our children to have and understand. this just flabbergasted me. and we wonder why there are so many disrespectful and rude people in the world.
after i picked my jaw up off the ground the other mother that was with me kind of just gave me a 'wow' look. unreal. if i'd had the balls i'd have said something.
