We're having a Mardi Gras parade in the park today, should be interesting, and fun...people all dressed up driving golf carts, dancing, our dogs in costumes, and a huge bbq pot luck lunch, should be tons of fun

First day back to school since last Thursday... I may be kind of looking forward to it

DS is on his way to school!!!! The bus was early and we had to go flying out the door, but we made it!!! Peace and quiet today... and I can actually get some cleaning done!!

Happy Tuesday everyone. I have ton of laundry to do LOL (i.e. DD's returned from her ski trip with dirty laundry in tow).

Oy, first time I have failed in ages at making something in the kitchen - yup, something as easy as krispies treats.

I knew the marshmallows weren't totally soft, but OMG they wouldn't melt! Never heard of such a thing; they puffed up but wouldn't melt, lol! It was the funniest thing. So I thought I could MAKE them do so, put in the cereal and tried to stir, no way.... Tried to press them into a pan, but no - now they are big lumps of hard marshmallow covered by margariney cereal, sheesh!
I think it's hilarious - but definitely not worth trying to salvage marshmallows you know aren't perfectly fresh and soft! I have some bits in a bowl to try munch on pieces, but it's just odd...

Hoping the rest of the day goes better!

And, yes, I really DO have two bags of fresh marshmallows to use, but I didn't want these to go to waste. They were NN, and I'm def not buying them again, back to Kraft!
